  • just watching this made me wanna lose all this linemen weight and train to become a HB

  • His high step is bone chilling...it makes you wonder how he didnt pull a hammy..Never Die Easy

  • you know what would be cool....if you used the track Black balloon from the GooGooDolls in the background like the video you copied this from

  • holy cow #69 1:31

  • defenders bouncing off him like rubber

  • The best ever. He played against tougher defenses in the mid 70's like Dallas Doomsday, Pittsburgh's Steel Curtain. It was before the rules changed allowing the offenses to score more points.

  • @wajeh77

i'm just as big of a walter payton fan as you.. maybe even more. but walter couldn't even reach 17,000. he got 16,726

  • @VandyRox17 Fuck numbers, Payton's were high enough, it's the fact that he ran like a spartan, a true warrior, dished out punishment, carried the load for the bears team, and the craziest statistic of all, despite how physical he was, he only missed 1 game during his entire career! This during a steriod fueled 80's without all these rules protecting players. Sweetness was it man, a true iron man.

  • One person is a Packers fan.

  • If everyone in this world put their whole heart into their own lives like Walter did in the game, imagine what a great wold this would be. Sweetness is missed. There will never be another player like him. His will & heart kept him on his feet & running when others would have been down.

  • Sweetness played ball when men were men, broke tackles when they used to tackle for real and not just hit the guy as hard as they can hoping they'd knock him down. He had true athletic ability.

  • @mevers143 , Best reply!

  • anyone knows the name of the song?

  • @DaniLamb7 The last of the mohicans-Promentory

  • his step before he cut is so unbeliveble!!

    god why he must die?

    best runningback ever!!

im proudly on it to wear the number 34

  • i tried doing doing the walter payton high step in my last foot game in high school.............holy shit i got some speed when i cut...

  • @CheyneJWIlber i dont get it did he just run with his knees up?

  • @itsmybunny1 1:10 doesnt look like a high knee run

  • @CheyneJWIlber o lol..

  • Walter Payton is the Jesus of Pro Football...seriously, what would Walter do?

  • watching this vid always inspires me and pumps me up and also the song dam i love that song

  • I'm sure many people noticed, but I have never seen it commented on: if you look at the guy from the Detroit Lions who climbs on Walters back, at the 43 - 44 second mark, his feet are completely off the ground!!!!!

  • The best highlights if Walter Payton I've seen so far.

    Thanks.

  • RIP Payton. He was my Bears IDOL

  • greatest ever. could you imagine if Walter had the same offensive lines as Emmitt, Dorsett, etc?

  • @rjst09 seriously im tired of people talking about o lines and all that stuff.. walter payton played like 8 positions and played 5 seasons less then emmit smith with 500 attempts less plus he played in the 80s emmit was in the 90s-2000s thats when the nfl is soft and its getting softer. so no need to talk about the o line you could obv tell who is the better athlete

  • @itsmybunny1 Yes, Walter is the better player/athlete. But, i have a hard time comparing Noah Jackson and Revie Sorey to the line of Dallas of which at least 2 will be HOF. If he had this run offense up front, his numbers would of been larger. Plus, the Bears had no passing game, therefore, Walter faced 8 man fronts his entire career, whereas Dallas had a passing attack to spread the field_

  • great video send more walter payton videos to 1brenon1 please

  • unbelievable . r.i.p

  • i watched him from the start there is no one better.he was the bears.whole team.if ever there was a icon.

  • the greatest ever.

  • NEVER die easy.

  • 1:02 looks like Peyton got piledrived to the ground! And he still held on to the ball and made the touchdown! Amazing!

    R.I.P. Walter. You are missed.

  • he didn't deserve the name "sweetness" payton was a power back!

  • Agreed with the power back but he was the nicest guy on and off the field

  • sweetness was cause of his voice

  • truely sweetness

  • walter payton and ladainian tomlinson best RB ever !!!!!!!!!!

  • walter payton is a sweet beast on his sweetfeet and steeler won super bowl 2009 woot

  • no wild cats just the other team threw it i caught it and ran to the touch down and i got them in different games

  • fuck emmit smith and fuck barry sanders Walter "Sweetness" Payton is the best RB ever and not even Adrian Peterson can pass 17,000 rushing yards

  • I think Barry deserves more respect than that. He played behind a terrible team and could've broken Payton's record if he chose to keep going. He was a great player and a humble man.

  • payton would have alomst 30000 if he would have had decent blocking

  • i know

  • @wajeh77

Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton were very good friends.

  • @wajeh77 - I agree w/u with exception of Barry Sanders. He could've surpassed Walter, but he had too much respect for his legacy so he decided to retire. No back in history is or ever will be more elusive than Barry Sanders. He created and made things happen b/c he had no choice - on talent and ability ALONE he carried his team. He had one of the worst offensive lines in the fucking history of the game.

  • @WaterzEdge another reason why is cause the lions wouldnt let him go to another team but i still respect him for his choice

  • His balance was just unbelievable. Out of all his skills, (agility, vision of the game, decision making, instincts...)i believe that it was his balance that played the biggest part in being what allowed him to run like he did.

  • Walter payton is the worlds greatest running back!!!!!!

  • Whenever I see these videos i feel like i know em. R.I.P Walter

  • i play for mittle school and i have the number 34 and i am a running back i am not that good but 3 interceptions so far:)

  • wtf do you mean 3 interceptions....Qb's throw interceptions and running backs fumble... wtf are you talking about. NOOOB

  • Maybe he's referring to Walter Payton's quarter back skills. 8 passing TDs in his career. This kid is probably trying to replicate that as well, but he just sucks.

  • do u guys do the wild cat or some shit cuz u cant have 3 interceptions unless u take the snap and pass it to a receiver or something like that

  • ah man, those legs! when i was kid living outside of Chicago late 70's/mid 80's, if we got a game goin, it didn't matter if you were black or white, tall or skinny, short or tall....if you got the ball and were running for a touchdown, we ALL did those high stepping a la #34. when he got sick, and had the press conference with his son announcing it, then he broke down and cried......i along with millions of other people cried right along with him. RIP Walter. We miss you!!

  • emitt smith isnt in the top 5... emitt smith shows durabillity... not skill. he ALWAYS had a good team. ALWAYS had a great offensive line. Walter started on the bears when they were 4-12 or something... he clawed for every yard he got. NEVER once did he fumble btw. emitt is just a great athelete who has good durabillity

  • emmit smith iss good. so i eould put him as number 3 but i dont really mno whos better between walter and barry. but my favorite is walter so ima go with him

  • fuck that!

3# Barry Sanders 2# Emmit Smith 1#Walter Payton

  • Fuck both of you

#5 Jim Brown #4 Barry Sanders #3 Walter Payton

#2 Walter Payton #1 Walter Payton and fuck emmitt smith if he hadn't played for eight year past his usefullness, he would be just another 10,000 yard RB

  • fuck me fuck you i said walter payton #1 as well

  • im 14 i only remember when his memorial@ soldiers field was. but as my life went on and i got more into football his determination was soo extraordinary his playing style was one of a kind he was one player even 10 or so years after he passed he still connects and touches peoples hearts. Sweetness lives on in all of us. Walter Payton July 25, 1954- November 1, 1999 NEVER DIE EASY!!!

  • he is the best example in nfl history how he can be so great and still be a real fine man rip walter payton we all miss you #34 sweetness always in our memories

  • im frm new zealand where this sport isnt played but i still knw he was the best damn running back the NFL has ever seen nd will see R.I.P SWEETNESS

  • WALTER PAYTON IS WHO I LOOK UP TO..

  • Walter Payton Will Always be My IDOL btw whats the song called

  • What's really incredible is the power and speed he possessed. He was only like 5' 9"-190lbs or something like that. He just punished anyone trying to tackle him, I love it ! Don't know the name of the song, but I'm sure I heard it on the soundtrack to Last of the Mohicans.

  • WE LOVE YOU AND MISSS U GO Walter payton
