@dielan44 because its in airplane mode, which means it doesnt send or receive any type of signal, like wifi or calling features are disabled, its usually put on if you want to play games on a real airplane or hospital etc but you cant unless you put it on airplane mode because it interferes with the radio signals, all phones have that feature.

No multitasking yet! They made this for stupid people that don't understand that they still don't make multitasking as other phones do, they just cache the program but don't run it in the background as it's supposed to be in multitasking.

i don't see why dif. backgrounds is so special jailbreaks already did that, tapping and holding to delete is not a new concept, i would have expected something more like holding down on the home to close an app so it doesn't use more batteries in multi-tasking. Even if they did find a revolutionary way to do that and conserve battery, the fact is it's going to use up more battery than the 3.1.2. system currently posseses

Nice video but that is a jailbroken iPhone easy to tell cause of the military time clock on the lockscreen but the multitasking thing is available in the updated software being realeased later this summer most likly around September. Go to apple and you can watch the hour long video on the os.4 software

Also Apple uses the same method of "multitasking" as WP7 and this is save the state of an application when you leave it, then when you go back to that application it resumes so it isn't really running in the background. But hey, at least it's something right?

@MrAmf3 it's no use to you anyway because even if you download it via a torrent, your iphone/ipod touch will never activate because it checks if you're a registered developer. When you try to go back to Version 3 of the iPhone OS it won't let you either, it'll fail with a -13 iTunes error, so better don't attempt it.
