  • i was thinking of getting this bike so i went to a dealership and asked for an estimate would 9200 be a good price for the bike its new and the price includes taxes and everything

  • @every1wasanoob Thanks a good price man. You aren't going to find one much cheaper than that from a dealer. Though these are going for about 6k used. Just make sure it has a transferable warranty.

  • @every1wasanoob I am up in NH I paid 8,100 taxes included when i bought my phantom in 2010.

  • compared to a cbr 600 would there be a difference in quickness ?

  • @every1wasanoob

Good question.. lol. I've ridden a CBR600 and I'd say my bike is faster. Sport bikes are just tuned for speed, so a 600 can still keep up despite the size difference. The Phantom vs a CBR 750 doesn't stand a chance though. Just find a used one at a dealer and give it a test ride. Might be a bit harder to find a used phantom though, as dealers don't typically test drive new bikes.

  • How much would this cost?

  • @lastmmfs

    $67,000. 2 million with a warranty.

  • @adamtuminaro89 Damn! :)

  • That is a beautiful bike my friend!

  • can two passengers ride it?

  • @11alanbruno

    yep.

  • 0MG!!! d4t th1n' b S1CK!!! 1tz w4y b3tt3r th4n @ H4rL3y 883, 3v3ryb0dy kn0wz @ 750 b w4y b3tt3r! n0t 4z much p0w3r, but b3tt3r g4z m1L34g3!

  • @japbikelover

Please never write this way again. Ever. On second though, you should write everything this way. Job applications, thank you letters.. ya know. Should work out well for you friend.

  • @japbikelover

haha I'm a loser for buying a honda? you're username is japbikelover. lol

  • @adamtuminaro89 lmao map bikes are what but motorcycle on the map with innovation lol this kid and plus he cant spell for crap lol i have a zx6r from kawi trying to decide on this or a harley but harley is like double price! is it conformable? easy to handle? and please tell me its Fuel injected i hate carb BTW I’ve only ever rid in sport bikes lol

  • @adamtuminaro89 D03sn't m34n 1 h4v3 2 wub sh1tty 4sz h0nd4

  • Its like the younger brother of the Magna.

  • That's the typical Japenese Motorcycle sound allright, xD. Thanks for the vid anyway

  • Can you be a little more energetic while talking, why do lazy when you talk

  • @MrChutzpah2002

Why do lazy when you type? =]

  • Which one would be better - Triumph Speedmaster or Honda Phantom??

  • Man how much did you pay for it. My dealer wants a $7000 for 2011. I think since it's end of year it should be even below. What do you think?

  • I am looking to buy a Honda Shadow Phantoml, but then ran into Harley Sporter Iron 883, and need some comments on what would be a good choice. I like the look of Honda absolutely but people tell me HD is more cool. Now I dont know if HD is liquid cooled or Fuel Injected. Any ideas please??

  • @MrChutzpah2002

If you buy a HD because someone tells you its "more cool" you have no business owning a motorcycle. Do some research, go check them out at the dealerships, and decide for yourself.

  • @adamtuminaro89 WellI did buy one -Triumph America, it's way more cooler than HD...: )

  • It's not as loud as I thought it would be. Oh well... Can fix that easy with a cobra exhaust set! Lol

  • you gotta get some pipes man (black) cobra makes a good set that sound great.

  • why buy a harley lookalike

  • @upassedthetest Honda engines are bulletproof...they have been proven time and time again..hondas are sleek and Harleys are more robust...if you disagree feel free..

  • @upassedthetest

Half the price. More reliable. Better warranty. This bike is also reported faster than its Harley competitors.

  • this bike is faster then my 883 sportster

  • Fucking gorgeous! Ive only seen pics up till now... Atm im riding a 85 rebel, love that lil thing. Only been riding for... not even a month XD But ive already decided before i even started riding this is my next bike. I just fell in love when i first saw it <3 Thanks for the vid man!

  • is that bike design for two or one person?

  • @adam13deaf

2, like almost every motorcycle ever made.

  • This may be a stupid question bear with me im new. Would this be a recomended bike for a beginner with it being a 745cc bike.

  • @Rawr1990 I'll sound like a broken record here, but you'd probably want something smaller for the first couple seasons. Even if you're a big guy, the weight of a cruiser can make a nice ride like this Honda become intimidating. Grab a used Ninja 250 or Buell Blast, and ride the hell out of it. You won't feel terrible if you fall or drop the bike, and you'll have a good riding skill-set for when you upgrade to something like the beauty in this video!

  • @Rawr1990

def a good beginner bike. you'll want something bigger than this after riding for a few months anyway. don't go any smaller.

  • that sounds really fucking nice i love black and it's about the olny bike i would probly get from the others that i've looked at

  • Well no offence but it doesnt even sound like a chopper. :-P BUT its a pretty damn nice ride tho! i have a 1999 custom yamaha Drag Star 650 but my next bike will definitly be a Honda Shadow. well mybe not 2010 but a Honda! greetingds from turkey

  • yummpys its not all about the new reg plate, haha consumerizim is takin your money haha suckers

  • @gunitfor

Never heard of a "new reg plate." Maybe its something you learned from whoever taught you how to spell "consumerism"?

  • my 94 vt 600 looks alot better in my opinion still rides perfict, cost me all of 1100 pound few years ago, compared to this 8k hay wheres the crome? take it profit was & issiue then

  • mines got a cumstum exhaust that are 3" diamiter, thing is crazy loud, almost sounds like a chopper

  • @Phaac2

Sick man! Post a vid, I'd love to hear it!!

  • The 750s are great looking, easy to ride and flick into a turn, and sound great with Cobra pipes but the top end sucks above 65 mph. The best bet if you do more freeway driving (especially with passenger) is to get at least a 1100cc.

  • @viggoM35

Yeah I agree. I took it on a road trip to Atlanta, which is about 500 miles (both ways). Almost died from the pain. lol not smooth at all over 65. Definitely an around town sort of bike.

  • @adamtuminaro89 After riding the 750 ACE around for a few weeks, it does feel cramped and I'm not very tall. 5'8". And I tend to want to arch my back because of the seat, which then my neck hurts later. For any long distance rides I do miss my 03 BMW R1150RT. Very comfortable seating position, adjustable windshield by a flick of a switch, and of course the power. Though totally different bikes, the BMW being a sport tourer.

  • This bike #FTW

  • my dad has a shadow. i like it cause its not annoyingly loud as harley

  • Nice bike. I dont know much about motorbikes. Whats the difference between the phantom version and the non phantom?

  • @reallysecretusername

The Phantom has an obviously different body style, lower seat, fuel injection, and a shaft drive. And it only comes in one color lol.

  • good beginner bike?

  • @Awsomeology404

    Definitely!

  • bought this bike about a month ago. I love it! its my first bike, and its a very easy ride recommend it to anyone looking for a nice beginner bike that's not very expensive!

  • how tall are you im 6'2" would i be uncomfortable and look like an idiot on this?

  • @randomb0b123

I'd go check one out at the dealership to see. I'm 5'10" and its just right for me.

  • eu quero uma!!!

  • Sexy bike!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:25 to the owner of the honda shadow, u have ur lights on

  • How much does it cost?

  • @hockeysledder734

Check Honda's site. When I bought it, I paid around 8000 for the bike, and another 2000 in fees, warranty, registration, etc.

  • I just saw this bike at my local Honda showroom. It looks so awesome. Hoping (wishing) I can purchase one with help from a trade-in. *Crossing my fingers*

    Thanks for the vid!

  • You can barely tell that its running ... soo quite

  • Very nice bike bro

    << very jealous man

  • I'm geting my license soon, would you say this is a good bike for beginners

  • @0marinechik0

    for sure!

  • great vid!! im a first time rider & thats the bike i chose(between the fury). any probs you could enlighten me about??(if any)

  • How much did this run you man?

  • @ipodasdf

About 8000 for the bike, and another 2000 in warranties, dealer fees, registration, etc.

  • trying to deceide between this bike and a vulcan. can you tell me if the ride is comfortable for the passenger?

  • @erod2378

The people I've had on it, mostly supermodels, have had no complaints! =]

  • No worries man! On this bike there is no way to tell how much gas there is. There's a fuel light on the bike that comes on when gas is low. But I meant to post a comment to @everyone that the LED light in my bike for the fuel light just burned out. First "problem" I've had with the bike in over a year lol

  • ok, when you are driving this...is there a way to tell how much gas you have left?

    (im new to bikes)

  • Hope so much I can get this soon, I'm saving for it..

Is it true that you easily get dirty when driving choppers on wet street?

  • @SaltehCrab

Yes, but its not too bad. Your feet are closer to the ground on choppers so dirty water can spray on your shoes more easily than on other bikes

  • Comment removed

  • What would be a good bike for someone that is six foot 3 and 230? Im just finishing high school, and wouldnt mind getting a bike for college.

  • @STEALTHSNIPER969

NO. lol you need a much bigger bike man. I'm 155, 5'10" and its perfect for me.

  • @adamtuminaro89 Hey, lots of my friends tell me that this bike would suit me for my shape I am 5'4 and 250 Pounds. Would like to know what your opinion would be?

  • @adamtuminaro89 im about 5'6, 5'7, 150 pounds would this bike be good for me? I know you can get seats the sit a little lower too, but just for curiousity sake

  • @STEALTHSNIPER969 Most bikes are made for people less than 6'. But for someone like you, you should get a giant bike like 700lbs....triump thunderbird or boulevard 109

  • wow the engine sounds so refined...

  • Got mine last April. Got a custom paint job on the tank, plan to put more. Also made a custom sissy bar and pipes. It needs a better sound than the stock, it looks mean but sounds wimpy

  • @metalhead1028

Man you need to throw up a video! I'd love to see the tank painted. Haven't heard one with pipes yet either.

  • adam, dont get mad when i steal that epic bike

  • hey nice ride mate i have the 2009 model and im wondering if those handle bars are custom or stock? cause if they are stock im hoping i can bolt them straight onto mine without any issues

  • @trickedoutz32

Yep! In this vid everything is stock.

  • how's the mileage on that baby?

  • @shummyshum

Great, like all bikes! lol its around 60 mpg

  • dude, this bike, just like Harley's Iron 883, look kinda small, but the frame design, color and mods you can make, make em look soooo mean and tough. i'm diggin your bike man. get some vance & hines or Cobra exhaust system to release the sound of this beauty.

  • Love the bike. It's definitely on my radar. How tall are you? I'm 6'2" and worried that it might sit too low for me.

  • @chronomitch

Yeah, 6'2" may be a little tall. I'm 5'10" and its perfect for me. Go down to a dealership and sit on one!

  • Hey, thanks for the video. I'm planning on getting a bike soon and this one keeps catching my eye. I'm very interested but I'd like your honest opinion... How long are these dependable for? Could someone keep it for 5 years? 10? with low maintenance? Are there any disadvantages? Is there anything you would change?

  • @Logan27T

Its a Honda, so it will last as long as you take care of it. There are still hondas on the road from the 70s. This bike is as low maintenance as they come. No disadvantages other than rain and wind! If you like the look and you don't mind it being only a 750, I'd get it.

  • @adamtuminaro89 Thanks!

  • I plan on getting a 2011, so I sub'd to everyone who's making a video of one to see if any problems arise. I assume the engine is solid, as nothing is new there, and the final drive has been tested long enough on the Gold Wing, so should be good there,... just be sure and let us know if something mechanical does happen (with mileage of incident). Thanks for putting this up.

  • I'm sorry if i sound naive, but i'm getting my first bike soon. I was wondering how many people this thing can carry?

  • @TheRogueReflection

    Only 2, like all bikes!

  • @13Boozebrothers

You are the reason YouTube sucks. Thanks for the feedback loser.

  • is this a good bike to start with

  • Here is my Phantom video: youtube.com/watch?v=H_ONEx_g0gU&fmt=22

  • Sweet bike and not bad for the money!

  • Great video. I just ordered some new stuff from Cobra from my Phantom, I will post a before and after video. Thanks for posting you video

  • can you add special air filter etc for extra power?

  • I own a 03 model chain drive and love it. I must say I think the new shadows would look better with more chrome.....2 much black around motor. no offence just my opinion

  • Ok.. Thats it.. I want one! your the only person on youtube thats had the decency to give people an insight into this wonderfull bike! lol. Whats the bikes top speed do you know?

  • @TwsCRadio lol Thanks! The speedometer goes to 120, though I've only gone 110 once or twice on the bike. I venture to say it could push 130, but you have to remember this is on a 5 speed bike that's geared pretty wide. 5th gear is climbing all the way from 40 or 50 mph to get over 100, so the bike is screaming by the time you get there. I'd love to have a 6th gear for highway riding.

  • @adamtuminaro89 when your talking about speed are you meaning MPH?

Hey thats fast enough .. i have to agree about the highway gear. makes good sense.. would also have made sense if they forked out for an extra disk break (for the back) thanks for the reply man! cracking bike. Get more videos on (PS have a look on my channel . i have the VT125 (Few ride out vids) and theres a Honda Shadows Owners Club over here in the UK. :D

  • @TwsCRadio

    120

  • @adamtuminaro89

Please tell me thats miles/hr not Km/h??? :P

  • @adamtuminaro89 miles or kilometers? cause if its kilometers im gonna shit brix

  • @Takunrsx

Miles! I'm in the US lol

  • How do you make one of these into a radical bobber style? It's close but I'm not sure what all you'd need to do...any suggestions, I'm thinking about getting one of these and customizing it a little in the bobber style. Blacked out pipes would be cool.

  • We dont have this model of the shadow at Brazil honda retail stores ;(

  • @lipevolcom2 Shit! I'm from Brazil too and i want to buy this Phantom model :(((

  • im gettin one of those. haha mines got a custom exhaust wayy louder then that =]

  • im gettin one of those :)

  • I really like the looks of these bikes, but they need to redesign that front turn signal setup, it just sticks out like a sore thumb. If they would mount the turn signals on the forks, it would look a lot better then having that bar on there. Other then that, they look great.

  • ah its so sick dude! are you in love with it?

  • @twinsburgdrummer09

I totally am man. lol just took it from Orlando to Atl and back. Such a perfect bike for the money.

  • @adamtuminaro89 they are definitely affordable for sure. im a pretty tall guy and when i sat on one it felt really comfortable. i want to get one soon

  • pipes are perfect as it is, it is only non-ducati bike i'd love to buy

  • Very nice ,need some Angry Pipes!!

  • @m00se321

tell me about it! lol they're coming soon

  • god such a gorgeous bike.

  • Nice, but it needs some louder pipes!

  • @joshinstoacracy

I couldn't agree more. lol a new vid will be up when it gets new pipes

  • @joshinstoacracy

    coming soon!

  • I'm about a week away from getting one.

  • @PKdhut

    congrats man!

  • I have one of those at my shop, I put Cobra Streetrod Slants pipes on it and it sounds mean. I want to hit the street with it and see how much jam the exhaust adds.

  • how much did you pay for this bike? is very nice bro!!!

  • @ulysax1979

Its about 9000, but the dealer's are flexible. With everything (tax, tag, title, warranty, service pack, etc) it was about 10,000.

  • I want one sooooo bad

  • Hey man I'm looking into my first cruiser and this has come up as a suggested ride for beginners in the field. Any pro's/ con's?

  • @IYI00Ch

Def recommended for a first bike! Its a perfect starter.

Pros - Honda's reliability, great warranty options, fuel injection, comfortable, easy maintenance, etc.

Cons - You'll get used to the speed very quickly. Not a loud motorcycle until you get some pipes (see vid lol)

  • I like this bike alot but sounds kinda pussy w/ the stock pipes. It will be perfect once it gets some rumble.

  • how tall are you??? im 6'1 and i might buy one .

  • @gablam123

I'm 5'11 and its perfect for me. I don't think you're too tall for it, but go to a dealer and see if you can sit on one. Probably won't be able to ride it unless they've got a used one which is unlikely. But at least you can get a feel for the leg/arm reach.

  • @adamtuminaro89 thanks.. i went to a dealer last week and i was comfortable , i might get the bike next summer .

  • nice bike

  • @pex12

    thanks!

  • It's not that I hate harley or anything. The only thing I REALLY hate about Harley Davidson are their fanboys and biker gangs that are complete loyalist tools. The only bike I really like from them is the VRSCA (V-Rod) Primarily because they ACTUALLY tried on this one and and put some innovative tech in it such as Fuel injection, and Over head cams as well as i think dual pin. It's a really nice bike but HD loyalist IDIOTs call it heresy because of it having a radiator and new tech.

  • I've been waiting to here this bike. Ever since I saw they were coming out with it I have wanted one but I don't have the money. I also would take this bike over a harley any day.

  • no reason to buy harley ....too heavy , and waaay over-priced

  • @desmosedicimeccanica

    totally agree

  • @desmosedicimeccanica You realize the bike shown here has the same MSRP as the comparable harley (883 iron)

  • I plan to buy this bike and I've never had a bike b4...so you put the keys in at the sides? won't it fall out?

  • @aznchnk

Yeah that is a bit strange. But they've never fallen out! I also have a smart car, and the key is very large. Its on the same keychain and its never fallen off, though its probably not the best idea to hang it there when riding. lol

  • @adamtuminaro89 i believe the key locks in place much like a car once its turned to start it

  • oh those harley guys talking shit again, yeah them closed minded fools, too bad they only know the cheap quality within that company. harley harley harley blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, yeah they are so good why did they almost went out of business, and now they are struggling on dear life. you tell me who's winning? here is a common line among bikers, be smart ride a Honda. end of story.

  • @ilikesuzuki

Could not a agree more! I'll bet Harley will be out of business within 15 to 30 years. The younger generation is smarter, and Harley is going to lose their market.

  • @adamtuminaro89 yeah i mean you spend 3k on a use Honda shadow in the late 90's and you still get a great bike for the buck. and if you buy a late 90's H D good luck cause you will see the mechanic more often. it just recently that H D improved on motor quality.

  • tries sooo hard to look like an harley, but it totally fails

  • @Nightwithe

There are some similarities, but Honda is Honda. I'd take this bike over a Harley any day.

  • @adamtuminaro89

Never mind these haters. Nice bike! Gonna be my first bike in a couple of months.

  • I have to admit thats a nice Shadow. Years ago I used to make fun of them. If you don't mind me asking, did you get a discount off MSRP?

  • @silverberber

Yes I actually did get a discount. I believe the MSRP was about 8500, but I paid 7400. They tend to work with you when you get an extended warranty or a service package from the dealership. With 2000 down, after all fees, warranty, taxes, 10% interest, and GAP insurance, my payment is about 190 for 38 months. Super affordable bike!

  • @adamtuminaro89 Thanks I appreciate it.

  • When I grow-up, I wanna be like a Harley

  • I just bought one this week! I really love it!

  • I have the Vance and Hines Straight Shot pipes. They sound great. It's on my 2007 honda shadow spirit c2. Check out my video on my profile. Basically the same bike.

  • Vance & Hines Shortshots Exhaust

  • Vance & Hines Shortshots Exhaust

  • You def need new pipes

  • @jrmc744 recommendations?

  • @adamtuminaro89 Vance & Hines Shortshots Exhaust

  • @adamtuminaro89

V&H cruzers. Cheaper and better quality than Cobra's comparable offering. Some say they're very loud, others say they're not so bad, so I dunno.
