Read from sony's official playstation forums about the matter. It is. Moderators, community manager and lots of other people there tell that it's illegal and talking about it leads to getting oneself account suspended/banned.
I just got this yesterday, I'm gonna do a vid of it next time (not the whole thing, but cuts here and there) with tips on how to get it. There is no easy way unfortunately, but I can tell you right now to do it on garden 3. You probably knew that already, but just in case you didn't ;)

i got that trophy purely by accident. but in this location as i accidentally missed a jump and just fell through them. couldnt believe my luck

It's also easy to do on Garden 5, when you get shot out of the first flower.
