Uhm... Wisconsin and the UP border each other. The accent is pretty much the same, unless you think some magic happens when you cross a line on the map that people suddenly start talking with a different accent.

Not to be snide, but have you actually been to the south side in the past 20 years? Because you'd have to go into an awful lot of bars to find anyone who speaks English, let alone someone who says "Ya Hey Der" (and even then, that person would probably be from "up nort").
And because I know you're probably gonna read my last response thinking "why is this guy so damn uptight, this is just harmless fun" but try being a musician from Milwaukee (especially punk rock or hip hop) and getting taken seriously outside of Wisconsin. Granted, there's gonna be some assholes who think Wisconsin is a redneck colony of deer killers no matter what, but it doesn't help anything when we confirm those stereotypes ourselves.
WTF? I swear the Packers fans in Northern Wisconsin NEVER recognize when they're being made fun of. I'm surprised we didn't see any references to Laverne & Shirley since they hit on literally every other dumb ass stereotype people have about Wisconsin.
It probably doesn't bother people in other parts of the state, but those of us in Milwaukee tend to think there's a lot more to Wisconsin than beer, cheese and killing animals in the name of "sport."
