Meh, the App seems a little lame to me. But it's nice to know that T-Mobile is trying to compete with AT&T and Verizon. I remember when they used to be up there with their Sidekick phones, they were the shit a few years back. Now we have iphones and Android phones powered by google, and we cannot forget about Windows Mobile, they do have a place in the market.

Verizon will never get the i phone because apple will not give up its right to deal with all customer service on the i phone. The droid is going to blow the i phone out of the water. The i phone is a phone and a music player, the things the android phones can be is neverending. While the i phone has many apps some apps are dumb and dont work properly. As far as I'm concerned...if AT&T wants to challenge VZW's statement that AT&T has crappy service, than it should...publicly. But Consumer Reports has rated VZW best overall for 9 years in a row. AT&T definitely has the money...so what's the hold up? I'm glad that they're dropping price plans...although outside of Prepaid, that hasn't been confirmed.

I understand your argument that they were not "designed" to be iPhone killers, implying that the manufacturer didn't make them that way. However Verizon certainly spent a hell of a lot of time stressing that they were to the sales force, who in turn stressed that to the customer.

I will actually have to agree with Dramamagnet79 on this one. I used to work for Verizon Wireless in corporate sales, and was there for the Voyager launch around the time the iPhone 2g came out. It was absolutely told to us that the voyager would be the iPhone killer. To the extent that we were given comparison charts explaining what the voyager had (like 3g, a keyboard, turn by turn gps, etc.). Apple had no apps store at that time.

Reality Check: Theres a very big diff with a stock iphone and a jailbroken iphone, there is nothing a jailbroken iphone cant do minus the flash, Apple holds back on the iphone and if they stopped being selfish the iphone would be the most powerful phone in the world, droid seems cool, no aesthetic look, it looks clunky.....iphone has it on lock kids, let it go,...nothing wins, ps....good show, ive def subscribed....

First off, the Voyager was never sout out to be an iphoe killer. it was strictly designed as verizons first major take of the full touch screen technology. Secondly, the Storm was never advertised as the iphone killer. Only those with iphones took it offensive that verizon and RIM teamed up to develope BB's first business/economical touch phone. strictly to devide it'self from it's sisters but keep up to par with the other manufacturers with Palm OS, WINMO, and it's own BB OS.

I work for vzw and have been for a while as a technical support agent. and it was never proposed by verizon that either of these phones were the iPhone killer. Verizon even knew that the voyager couldn't even compare to what the iPhone could do. Very little applications, approx 3 channel tv tuner, web browser.......the iPhone (as verizon knew) would kill the voyager hands down. RIM also just partnered with verizon just to market their first touch screen. yes it was percieved that way, but not.

Any phone with the all touch screen and somewhat of an open interface like the iphone has been dubbed "iphone killer" at some point. Instinct, Voyager, Pre, Storm. And if you still feel like making the argument that they havent, take a look at all the articles comparing all of them to the iphone and how they always praise the new phone as one that can finally compete.

Also, anyone-everyone, go get yourself an android phone. They truly are the new standard.

Droid looks like a good phone and i would be willing to switch to verizon from tmobile to get it (good phone with the best service I ever experienced), unless t-mobile does what this guy says.
