  • Kind of sounds like the Thomas Newman song from American Beauty...

  • When Fi was about to leave, I honestly thought Link was gonna cry

  • @phily4life Who can blame him? after Navi and Midna, He must have some serious abandonment issues.

  • I dont understand something...this must be the first tloz game because the master sword was the skyward sword. Link put the sword back...ok! That must mean that the temple of time is the hylian temple or not? Link from ocarina of time takes the sword again. Then fi must already be in the sword. Maybe the developers will produce all zelda parts again and then Link meets fi again.

  • @MinecraftTyp96 i wish i can know the whole story.. :)), tough.. that's interesting the thing you said. :)

  • Is it possible not to cry in this scene?

  • fi: master may we speak again in another life.

5 other links picked up the master sword and she never spoke to any of them

  • @Kagarth13 It's funny because it's true.

  • @Kagarth13 midna, navi, and some other people are forms of her..?

  • I cried so hard when I saw the end and then I went and asked my parents if it was pathetic to cry over a video game and they just looked at me and nodded their heads very slowly.. then I yelled "WELL YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND VIDEO GAMES LIKE I DO!!! ESPECIALLY ZELDA!!!" Then I walked out the of the room calmly without a word.... Some people especially parents just don't get it..... -_-

  • @ZeldaFanatic031 I know that feel,my mom knows i love zelda,but yet she can't even remember the character's names,like link isnt pikachu

  • @SilverSon87 Lol my mom can remember Link and Zelda and she very rarely gets them mixed up lol it makes me proud! Lol

  • @ZeldaFanatic031 Lucky.

  • @SilverSon87 Lol

  • @ZeldaFanatic031 Now we both have the pride of that

  • @BloodOfTartaros Lol Yes! Forever committed to Zelda!!! Lol

  • @ZeldaFanatic031 my dad call's zelda a peice of shit game and play something else, like soccer. that has really hurt me

  • @TheGoldenMarioBro Tell me where he lives so I can kill him...

  • @IronKnuckleKO he used to play zelda but he got bored of it after a link to the past came out

  • @TheGoldenMarioBro BLASPHEMY...! >:O

  • Goodbye fi hope link ends up seeing you in another game :'(

  • Zelda games always have beautiful music, but skyward sword's definitely takes the cake!

  • MEGAMAN! MEGAMAN!

  • MEGAMAN! MEGAMAN!

  • May the heroic girl that fought valliantly by the hero's side rest in peace...until they meet again...

  • As the heroic warrior holds his beloved dearly in his arms, she merely gives him a weak smile, reasurring him that everything will be fine, even if she is no longer at his side. As she turns into dust, letting the wind disperse her across the land, the lost warrior weeps, wishing to hold her a while longer. Sadly, fate stepped in between the fated pair. The blessed warrior only wishes...perhaps one day, when the hero time comes, they will be reunited, but in the spirit...one day...

  • This was the only part of any video game that made me cry

  • Why can't I

    Hold all these feels?

  • You know, theres a resemblance that Fi has to a later on character, which is the Queen of Fairies from WindWaker. Is it possible that maybe, the queen of fairies was Fi's released spirit, who gave link the ability to get into the two temples in order to "recharge the Master Sword", which would really be sending herself back to sleep? Since the fact Fi is the force of evil-killing power in the sword? Makes sence, dont it ;p

  • @JHandcock1111 Maybe in ocarina of time when Link pulled up the master sword, Fi was released and didn't know what to do. Then she flew off to guard the mountaintops.

  • @isabellovesyou116

I think Fi was the reason Link was sealed in the chamber for seven years. Fi's residual conscience picked up that Link wasn't old enough to be the hero and caused him to stay sealed until he was old enough to be her master.

  • @JHandcock1111 It's true. This game opened the series chronologically, but ironically provided closure to the loose ends. It's as if she's pressed the snooze button on the alarm clock.

  • @JHandcock1111 Fi doesn't have emotions though

  • @narutofano03 she does. at the end she gains an understanding of them.

  • @JHandcock1111 Yes, but Wind Waker is a another story

  • This should have been game of the year.

  • I've never been so sad to say goodbye than when I had to leave Fi.

  • Master, before I go, I must remind you that the batteries in your Wii Remotoe are nearly depleted.

  • Fi's Farewell is so heart touching, but I feel this goodbye is not as important as Impa's one. And I think both of them die in some way. Both of them are linked with a same bond: help the chose ones in fulfilling their quest. Once completed, the strings that tie them to the life world have to break... We'll always remember Fi, and we have to assume she'll never be back again. She was only ordered to guide one hero... and she won't guide the following heros in the same way. Farewell, friend.

  • In a way, Fi reminds me of Navi. They both tend to spurt out tidbits of information that can be useless or helpful (depending on how you look at at) and they're both hard to say good-bye to. I remember in OoT (both game and manga versions) I had to cry when Navi said good-bye to Link.

    Then there was Tatl....

  • *Me palying SS*~ Urg..You're so annoying Fi!

*Me saying goodbye*~I never meant anything i said, DON'T LEAVE ME!

  • my heart is breaking and my tears are just uncontrollable someone help me

  • *800 years in the future*

Link: I wonder if this thing can break...

    *SNAP*

    Fi: WHAT THE F-

  • Very sad scene. Everyone saying good-bye.

  • Fi i will remember you are sleeping in the master sword and thank you and i will know i am not alone so long as i have the sword i have you

  • From what I've heard, Most people hated Fi until the end.

Me personally, I loved Fi throughout the entire game.

    Shes my favorite partner

  • *Fi and Link say good-bye*

Link: Heh, now to rub this in Scrapper's face! >:D *Goes back to his original time*

  • I hated this part of the game, because it felt so contrived.

  • Fi needs to come back or I will be sad.

  • I hope she comes back. I was so saddened by this part. true to a zelda game, somebody [protagonist] always loses

  • Scrapper when Fi leaves: FUCK U FI, U LEFT ME WITH A MOFO? REALLY!

  • I wasn't shedding manly tears.

I was sobbing like a baby.

    I'll miss you, Fi.

  • ...Speechless...even the strongest of warriors shed tears...

  • Oh... This song just tugs at my heart! I had so many emotions during this scene! When Fi was so matter-of-face about going to sleep forever and severing their contract, I screamed at the TV, "FI YOU EMOTIONLESS ROBOT!!" But then she stops him as he is leaving and she expresses happiness as best she can. When she says she hopes they will meet again in another life I'm just crying, "We WILL!!! We WILL meet again!!" So many feels.

  • i hope fi comes back in another game even though she is the master sword's soul in all the games i think i'm bout to cry

  • @link75214 trust me, if i ever get wind waker... the part where you go in and you are about to pull the master sword, i will think: "... Fi, you said we were going to meet again, well, we have..."

  • You guys I just realized something...in A Link To The Past, you can shoot beams outta the Master Sword too. But are those the same as the Skyward Strike? And do you think its Fi doing them? If so, why didn't that return in other Zeldas?

  • @jmacgamer85, I so agree. This game had a definition to the Master Sword, it was a title. In other games I think they were mush easier to get, the were almost handed to you. But in this game you had to earn it. Three long, hard, confusing world were all worth it. In that way, the Master Sword became more meaningful to me. The Sword was always there, it just waited to be awakened by The Goddess' Chosen Hero. Thats true destiny, true fate. :')

  • @Jamfire700 our fate...

finally we were tested for real, yet I just can't believe Fi just went to sleep she said may we meet again in another life or something like that, and in a way I hope we do I mean she was faithful not sassy, her tips were useful when called upon, and who wouldn't like to shoot lasers out of the master sword again.

  • in this game the master sword shoots sword beams. WHY WASNT THIS FOR OTHER GAMES WHEN YOU GET A SACRED SWORD?

  • You know, Nintendo (and Squaresoft, R.I.P) games have so much charm. They can be sweet, they can be funny, they can be heartrending. But they're never mindless graphic and aesthetic based video games. I really wish people would realize that. Video games shouldn't be and don't need to be all about graphics and girl's cleavage. They're so much more than that. Other game companies should really learn that.

  • Doesn't she appear to Link in OOT at the end? His sword glows just like when you raise it Skyward, it does that right before the final blow!

  • Video game franchises and consoles come and go. It's Nintendo who stays for round 234, along with The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, etc. For those who are worried about the Wii U sucking, I can assure that it will be just fine. Nintendo has released poor consoles/handhelds before and lived to tell the tale (Virtual Boy). That's what makes Nintendo different. Nintendo's always there to say "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." *Hands you their newest console/handheld*

  • @jmacgamer85 I don't know why, but when I got the end, "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." The music playing and the emotion tied to that statement made me erupt into an explosive ball of man-tears.

  • @PSshadow92 I know this may sound weird, but thanks! I'm an aspiring video game journalist who hopes to write articles/editorials/reviews that have that kind of weight to them. :)

  • @jmacgamer85 wii U won't suck though, i hear its good, so the graphics aren't gonna be the "best" as in realistic, but the games will classically make it to the top like everything that nintendo does :D

  • there is a 100% chance that this is good night music

  • anyone ever thought it strange that every side kick you get in these games is a girl and she ends up caring about you.

  • @TheKilohn She also always ends up disappearing -_- (Except for Navi who remains as your Cursor-ish thing in later games)

  • @JadehavenAcademy which is a good thing lol cause shes quiet :D don't forget spirit tracks your helper in that one is zeldas ghost who doesn't disappear

  • @TheKilohn I know its a VERY good thing that she's quiet..what if she talked? AHHH!

  • @JadehavenAcademy lol agreed

  • @TheKilohn wut about ezlo the hat?

  • @giantshadow17 hhmm don't remember that one which games is it from. i haven't seen all of them

  • @TheKilohn The minish cap..he was an old wizard turned into a hat, it looked kinda like a bird

  • @giantshadow17 lol i haven't seen that game though i heard of it :P

  • @TheKilohn all but 2 ezlo in the game that introduced a crappy weak 4 sword that has to split the hero in 4 just to be powerful and the king of red lions

  • @heroofmask ah good point i forgot about king of read lions. i keep skipping right to phantom hourglass lol

  • Damn you Fi!!

throughout this entire adventure you've done nothing but annoy me!

you pointed out the obvious, you repeated what people said to me, you popped up and gave me advice when i didnt ask for it...you....you....{}n{} DAMNIT!! whyd you have to go and develop feelings now? at the END?!! TT-TT AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • @giantshadow17

in a way, Fi is just like navi, pure annoyance, but who is more annoying?

  • Personally, I never cared for Fi. I kept hoping for some reason that she would break out of her shell and be more human rather then a robot the whole entire game. That being said, her theme is one of the best pieces in the game :)

  • I was playing Wind Waker the other day and when Link awaken the Master Sword and the Master Sword was shaking and all I thought about was that Fi is alive :') and then i defeated Ganondorf and the king sank the land of Groose :3 all I can think of was that Fi was going to stay in bottom of the Sea for eternity T_T

  • groosebumps all over me. :)

  • Link: Oh, Fi do you have to go?

Fi: yes master, tell scrapper i'll miss him.

Link: yeah, right are you gonna go now?

    Fi: ?

  • OMG IM CRYING RIGHT NOW

  • I think though, if it wasn't for Fi, we wouldn't have Zelda.

  • this is still the only 3d zelda game to NOT make me cry

i even got watery-eyed in minish cap's ending, but this game....does not do much for me

  • @MBlueFlame

I don't remember MC's ending all too well. As far as SS, I really started crying when she said she felt the thing Link's people called "happiness". That's where I really lost it. I only beat the first dungeon, but I was spoiled on a lot of things. That's what happens when you go to college and leave your Wii at home... :(

  • @MBlueFlame i asume you have played this with someone else or just barly read the conversations, cuz all my friends who did one of those 2 things didn't cry either. so i guess if you read all conversations and play alone you really feel like you are link and that would make this game emotional for almost everybody, but you might be an exception, anyway sorry for you this game isn't as emotional as it could be, atleast i hope you enjoyed it

  • @darkmage767 well let's say this,i like this game better than ocarina of time....trust me,thats actually not saying a whole lot

  • i am a honest man i cry ever time i hear this song thinking of fi. if any of you laugh at me for it at least i have the guts to admit i'm crying. fi may you rest in peace we will all miss you!

  • Grandma' always said: You don't know what you have until you've lost it.. T_T bye Fi... I know you've always been there.

  • Why are both comments made by the same person and are about the exact same thing...?

  • @Buss713 I really do not know

  • Fi was always inside the master sword, Even though she never appeared to Link, she made it so that no one but the reincarnation of Link can wield the master sword :D

  • i cried so much in this scene,i actually hated fi due to her being annoying, but near the end she became a big help and it was so sad to see her go,well i know she was always with me in twilight princess as well.

  • I wish to relay to you words I have recorded many times over the course of our journey, Fi...

    I love you.

And I understand the entire series better because of you.

    REST in peace :)

  • When does this play in the game again?

  • @Saphruikan The end.

  • @Saphruikan

This theme plays at the end of the game when Link returns the master sword and Fi to its dormant state. I cried my life when I heard this song very touching music.

  • Like many of the other comments below have stated, I will never look at the Master Sword in the same way either. Every time I replay a past Zelda game and get to a part where I have to draw the Master Sword, I will remember that in the sword, Fi is still sleeping. A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and any future Zelda games that have the Master Sword will remind me that Fi is still there. She's just sleeping... :')

  • @jmacgamer85 also demise is still locked inside with her. do i hear a concluding storyline for the newer zelda game? yes, yes i do

  • @jmacgamer85 is that better or worse................. i dont know. it still makes me sad. i like fi. she gave master sword personality. meaby we see her once again, when she is needed.

  • @jmacgamer85 Bitch please, she was eaten by Demise's Spirit.

  • @jmacgamer85 yeah, just sleeping... probably thanking link for what he did... how he made her feel...wishing, waiting to be awoken to a new master...

  • @MsZeldaWolf Believe it or not, I agree with you up until the last bit ("waiting to be awoken by a new master"). I don't think she does. My honest belief is that she is thankful for Link giving her a PURPOSE. Without her purpose, she wouldn't have ever existed. Remember how Hylia created her to guide Link? Well she did, and now it's time for her to sleep. I honest believe it would be wrong to bring her back for another game (from a creative standpoint). Story-wise, it simply doesn't make sense.

  • @jmacgamer85 That's so touching... When I got the Master Sword in OOT, I started whacking the wall desperately hoping to wake Fi up and let her know she has a new master... but unfortunately... it didn't happen...

hehe, I made that sound so deep and depressing but the mental image of Link slamming the wall with his sword like an idiot is just too funny isn't it? ;)

  • Well! the title alone was a lovely spoiler for me :(

  • the three people who disliked this video did it because they coudn't stop crying...

  • The guy has both top comments... Why? Maybe Fi predicted it.

  • GAAAAAAAH This makes me tear up...And to think that Fi has been with me all this time in Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Ocarine of Time, Link to the Past...<3 Fi

  • Gonna cry :')

  • Holy Jesus, this music is JUST SO GOOD. ALL OF IT. I LOVE SKYWARD SWORD. AAH

  • When you finish A Link to the Past after playing skyward sword, the ending where it says 'And the master sword sleeps again...FOREVER!' knowing Fi is there...it's something special.

  • Can you send me the download link for this OST? I have been looking for one that has all the names on the songs.

  • Convo I had on fb: Me: (Navi/ Fi) Watch out! Listen! Hey! Listen! Friend: (Link) lmao Me: There is an 85 % posiblity that you will want to kill me soon.... also, you wii remotes's batteries are low. Kyukyuuuuuu!! Friend: lollolololol lmfao Me: Master.. I do believe this feeling is... what humans call... Roflmao Friend: lmfaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lol

  • FI was the best. Compared to Midna she is perfect! Whenever you wanted info on an enemy Midna would be all like 'Meh, get on with the game...' while Fi would be like 'Yes of course, Master <3'

    Fi! <3

  • @MrSkyflycrucio Then suddenly you realized that Fi likes to state the obvious.

  • @Fubukio honestly, I don't understand why people hate her for that...

sorry dude, I love her anyway...

  • @MrSkyflycrucio Because it's somewhat annoying and it irritates people when she starts giving hints to things after they've already completed the said thing. As well as when she starts beeping to tell you that your batteries are almost depleted or when your health is low.

But despite these, I love her too! X3

  • Goodbye Fi... May we meet again in another life.

  • @MapleAndAnimeCrazy FORESHADOWING!!!

  • The sad part is that when not wielded by link, she's usually stuck in Ganondorf's head (literally)

  • @xaqua93x Demise*

  • @hermitsword No, Ganondorf. During the boss they actually highlighted the fact that Ganondorf was an incarnation of Demise, not a reincarnation. So it's Ganondorf. Not... Demise.

  • @Raavioli They didnt mention him being Ganondorf.

  • @hermitsword They never said Ganondorf specifically, but they did highlight incarnation.

  • @Raavioli His name is still Demise. Reincarnation or not.

  • @hermitsword They're two different people. But sure, whatever you say, guy.

  • @hermitsword This has nothing to do with Demise. I'm talking about the Master Sword and it's still the same master sword that's jabbed in Ganon's head for example in OoT or Windwaker

  • Goodbye Fi I hope to see you for another 25 years

  • Fi has an unususl effect on me :-) I find her very annoying and I hate her robotic formal speech. Yet She's one of my favorites... strange. Maybe it's cuz of this music

  • I swear, all Zelda music gives me chills. Its so powerful.

  • -that moment you remembered Wind Waker's ending.

    FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!! ;A;!!

  • I always tear up when I hear this. Fi was a great partner and in every zelda game I play I will always think and see her when I retrieve the master sword.

  • Also,THAT is why it's called the Master Sword! Whoever wields the Sword is Fi's Master! EEEEEEE!

  • Fi has always been there.......it's amazing........but if TheBeastFish is right, then if the Master Sword had accepted him as it's master, then Fi is aware of her surroundings. She's ALIVE! She is what gives the Master Sword it's power! She gave the ability for Link to go back and forward 7 years! SHE'S ALIVE! I want to cry so much right now because of the realization that she's always been with Link! She told him they'd meet in another life! Every other Link is a descendant! She was right! NERDGASM!

  • I'll always play the song of healing to cease suffering... Rest In Peace Fi.

  • 3 people don't have the capacity to fully understand the human spirit.

  • I wish Fi had actually become a character before the last 5 minutes of the game.

  • @blizzfool i agree with you 100%. the entire game i was going on about how fi was the most annoying thing in the world, telling me things i already knew. but the last cutscenes, i kind of felt bad. sorry i ever doubted your annoying ass fi...

  • Oh my goddess... the saddest music in video game history... I... I'm crying right now!

  • i think fi comes back with link and zelda in every game but in a diffrent way

  • Holy Hylia, this song is going to make me cry again!

  • despite finishing the game months ago, i still get shivers everywhere when i here this song. I dont think i have ever felt a more emotional reaction in a video game ever.

  • Mentioned this earlier but remember in Twilight Princess? When Link pulls the Master Sword. He lifts it skyward and the dust on the ground blows away. Then Midna goes "The Sword just accepted you as it's master"

After you play Skyward Sword how can you not feel like Fi is right there?

  • @TheBeastFish Twilight Princess' Master Sword get was the best ever.

  • @TheBeastFish yesi agree and now each time i will play a zelda game, i will always be playing with Fi by my side.

  • @TheBeastFish Stop making me cry, I miss Fi...

  • @TheBeastFish i noticed that too and shat bricks

  • Zelda fans are so bestial. Why they all want to have sex with a floating bitchy imp! She may become kind near the climax of the game, but her character just was despicable, and she annoyed me. Also, I have played through Skyward sword, and Fi only said obvious stuff if I pressed down on the D-Pad.

  • I didn't want her to leave... At first I saw her as a less sexy version of Midna, and I didn't like her or dislike her. But near the end... When she appeared to me as I walked towards the portal that would take me to Demise... I started to love her...

After placing the Master Sword in the Pedestal, when Link turns and walks away, and you hear the unmistakeable sound of Fi coming out of the Sword... Only to find that she wasn't staying. That was when I cried.

This is my first emotional comment :(

  • i can't belive i cried over this scene :'(

  • I don't mind admitting I nearly cried when Fi faded away. :(

  • @CinnabonChan nearly ??

  • @CinnabonChan don't be embarrased. i sobbed when fi faded away.

  • @marzgirl99 I want her back!

  • Not gonna lie,i hated fi so much, she was almost equally annoying as midna and i hated midna, then near the end i learned to respect fi,and when she left at the end i was actually crying, and when she said we will meet in another life i knew that ment in ocarina of time.

  • One thing that make me somtimes laugh was when Phai tell me with that percent... :')

  • I can never look at the master sword the same again when playing other games...Like TP and WW....

  • I won't lie, Fi really grew on me. She wasn't like the other companions. She was a very unique companion... And I thought Midna's farewell was sad, ha..

  • A definite, final farewell. I plan on becoming a Legend, myself & I'm looking forward to the bright, Super Awesome future, ahead of me! The only thing that I don't look forward to, is the final farewell, between my friends/Family! This song makes me think that! I'll make sure that each final farewell, will be worth keeping intheir heart & mine, for the rest of our lives!!! :')

  • Damn it Nintendo you just made me cry everytime I beat a Link to the Past now.

"And the Master Sword was put back to sleep and was never disturbed again."

    Damn it Nintendo...

  • well I think fi will be reawakened in a future legend of zelda game

  • @nintendo93mat If you go by the theory that all of Link's partners, except the King of Red Lions and Zelda, are reincarnations of Fi, then yes. There's Navi, Tatl, Ciela, and Midna. Though she also slightly resembles the Fairy Queen from Wind Waker.
