I am a Social Work student in college and would never work for CPS... You can be a case manager in Social Work with CPS with a simple BSW... I am going for at least my MSW if not more! CPS are overworked andthey just become callus and angry at everybody!

@CPSSucks I know a few students who want to work for CPS and they seem like they have good intentions. Of course, good can turn ugly and bad very quickly when you are confronted with some of the stories I have heard from CPS. I think some Social Workers become so paranoid from these stories of terror that they suspect everyone and anyone could be harming children. They are also paranoid that if they don't report it and (God forbid) something were to happen they will be held responsible!

Never understood the name, as a child, I read the story of Baron Münchhausen, who was a pathological liar, and made up stories about his brave escapades, but had nothing to do with making children sick intentionally.
Unlike most people on here, i've had a good experience with CPS. I am 20 yrs old and have 2 children,. My daughter fell off the top bunk bed and was injured. I took her to the ER and one of the nurses call police. There was an investigation. They took my son while i went to the police station and was interviewed. When i left the station i was able to pick my son up from CPS office and went back to the hospital where they appoligized and was able to take both my children home.
@Elizabeth2008NY - that sounds hard to believe, Elizabeth, but I am very happy to hear that your children weren't stolen from you, as they have been from so many others. There must be more to your story that either I or you are not aware of. CPS will back off if there is something that they fear or if for some reason they know they can't get away with one of their kidnappings. Try to think of what this something might be, as it may save your children next time, and it may help others.
i bet CPS has tight security. i bet those cowards sweat under the fear that someday one of the parents of these kids will loose it and go postal on them. I am a blind mother...with a clean house, healthy well-adjusted, happy, clean children, and they came and accused me of all kinds of things just because my daughter was born with a medical problem and wouldn't gain weight fast enough. Lots of doctors were on my side and said I didn't do anything wrong, but CPS, but what would they know? Nothing happened after a while though because they had no real proof.

CPS even brought it to my attention that the farther touched my daughter when she was about a year old but when I took her to the doctor it was unfounded and they shrugged it off like it was a mistake they said on something. My favorite line with CPS is that "They are there to help us." Help us? You mean take our children away from us? I went to do housecleaning as a job for a client who had worked with CPS before and her house would not have kids living with her and I'm glad they weren't home then. There was an investigator that I had come and she was attending college when still working with CPS. She is married now so IDK if she moved or not.

Why is it CPS can take your child when you are single or married and then give the child to abuser or molester but blames you when the foster people are found guilty and the workers don't even get time off work or even fired for taking your child away from you? They want to improve our parental skills but nothing is being done about it. 100% of what was said in court was bad about us. With our 3rd kid, they said we choked & dropped our kid then they changed the story. Nothing was said good about on our papers either. They don't give a damn about the parent or parents for that matter.

I took your advice and drew a wide circle around them, but they have one small "issue." These idiots took my grandson OFF his seizure medication because they, "Didn't think it was appropriate." Well, problemo! I hold in my white trash little hand an extensive M. R. I. from Scott and White Hospital that was done after a week's examination of the baby, and he HAD a seizure while ON the M. R. I. I am just having a problem deciding WHICH jail I'm going to put them in at this point.

I had an interesting comment the other day (sorry can't remember who from) and he/she said if CPS ever came after his/her kids, he'd "skin them alive." CPS is pure evil. Cooperation is best to prove them wrong, but with all the strangers out their that have hurt other peoples children, it makes it hard to trust anyone. Never understood the name, as a child, I read the story of Baron Münchhausen, who was a pathological liar, and made up stories about his brave escapades, but had nothing to do with making children sick intentionally.

Unlike most people on here, i've had a good experience with CPS. I am 20 yrs old and have 2 children,. My daughter fell off the top bunk bed and was injured. I took her to the ER and one of the nurses call police. There was an investigation. They took my son while i went to the police station and was interviewed. When i left the station i was able to pick my son up from CPS office and went back to the hospital where they appoligized and was able to take both my children home.

There must be more to your story that either I or you are not aware of. CPS will back off if there is something that they fear or if for some reason they know they can't get away with one of their kidnappings. Try to think of what this something might be, as it may save your children next time, and it may help others.

I am a blind mother...with a clean house, healthy well-adjusted, happy, clean children, and they came and accused me of all kinds of things just because my daughter was born with a medical problem and wouldn't gain weight fast enough. Lots of doctors were on my side and said I didn't do anything wrong, but CPS, but what would they know? Nothing happened after a while though because they had no real proof.

My favorite line with CPS is that "They are there to help us." Help us? You mean take our children away from us? I went to do housecleaning as a job for a client who had worked with CPS before and her house would not have kids living with her and I'm glad they weren't home then. There was an investigator that I had come and she was attending college when still working with CPS. She is married now so IDK if she moved or not.

Why is it CPS can take your child when you are single or married and then give the child to abuser or molester but blames you when the foster people are found guilty and the workers don't even get time off work or even fired for taking your child away from you? I was even told to clean the house which was just papers on the floor and child proof the housewhen the child was only 2 MONTHS OLD! A child is not going to get hurt like they told me at that age. It was an UNFOUNDED report.

They want to improve our parental skills but nothing is being done about it. 100% of what was said in court was bad about us. With our 3rd kid, they said we choked & dropped our kid then they changed the story. Nothing was said good about on our papers either. They don't give a damn about the parent or parents for that matter.

In Texas, CPS took all (about 400) infants and children from the RLDS polygamist compound - I mean EVERY SINGLE child they ripped from every loving mother's hands. Why? I took your advice and drew a wide circle around them, but they have one small "issue." These idiots took my grandson OFF his seizure medication because they, "Didn't think it was appropriate." Well, problemo! I hold in my white trash little hand an extensive M. R. I. from Scott and White Hospital that was done after a week's examination of the baby, and he HAD a seizure while ON the M. R. I. I am just having a problem deciding WHICH jail I'm going to put them in at this point.

Accidents become murders, and malpractice becomes Munchausen's by Proxy. These children are the ones that then end up get adopted by Americans, etc. who couldn't be bothered to discern the provenance of their adopted "children." NO CPS the family needs to personally sue each and every member of CPS and the people who made the decision to remove this innocent child from his innocent parents!
all of these so called 'medical cases' are full of crap! the overwhelming evidence showed a MEDICAL problem not abuse. I bet the kid was sick the whole time in the foster families care! that is what often happens. stupid CPSbastards

The one little child might be able to go home, but he must be "reintegrated" back with his biological parents who never hurt him in the first place.
BUT the system kidnapped these children and threw them in to the homes of stranges with NO integration.

@POLYMORPHLEGION - I agree, it must take phenomenal self-control. I had an interesting comment the other day (sorry can't remember who from) and he/she said if CPS ever came after his/her kids, he'd "skin them alive." CPS is pure evil. They don't just do it for the money, because the money is nothing at the lower levels, they do it because they are evil perverted witches.

Cooperation is best to prove them wrong, but with all the strangers out their that have hurt other peoples children, it makes it hard to trust anyone. I think that both these cases should be studied far more and more dr.'s involved. Scary as hell NOT to have trial by jury and people demanding more medical experts. They do not look physically abused at all.
