It is not true. Although every knowledge and culture spread from continent to islands ( like blood spreads from heart to toe ) , Japan had their own culture. They just used and excepted new things from outer world, in their own way. And that's what every country in the world did.
i am a korean traditional dancer myself, and it's harder than it looks.
you don't just "walk around"....you have to bend and keep a gracefull movement at all times; your arms have to be straight and steady, and you have to work together with the other dancers to get the "flower."
I agree too much typing and racism. This dance is really beautiful. The past is the past. STHU about it. It seems someone always thinks there culture is better than another's; when will humans ever learn. Damn
hey i do korean fan dance and although it might look easy walking around and stuff its really complicated!! like we are not allowed to dance in big steps we have to shuffle our feet along. and holding the fan correctly takes time as well. and the flower arrangement, trust me u have to b in perfect coordination with other dancers to make it work. so dont go around saying that they are doing nothing but 'walk around and wave their fans.' if u think u r so good y dont u try fan dance??
@sujufanatic I do Korean fan dance too. I've been doing it 4-5 years and it's totally not easy! It's like dancing, you need to be on beat and be coordinate with others around you. It's actually really complicated and it takes years to be good at it. So yeah I totally agree with you! :)
the only released them to open up trade wit korea... cause they knew in order to open up trade wit all of asia. they must do first wit korea. eventually this realization would lead to many many attempts to take over korea.and every attempt failed til the west forced open the doors of japan.and gave them the gift of technology.during the meiji restoration. but if u noticed. the americans and the french didnt rape steal destroy ur people as they juss helped.somting the japanese shouldve learned.

Well excuse me. Umm first off Im half Japanese and Second, I DO know there was some influence from Korea. But Japan was mostly influenced by CHINA. OK CHINA. Now overall. Japan is not the only place that, umm whats that you say. STEAL from other countries. Theres America, France, Europe. ITS EVERYWHERE. and FYI it's called being influenced not stealing moron.
well when japan was still new.. china and korea wouldnt share their technology with japan.. and considered the japanese to be barbaric so didnt open up trade. so japan had no choice except to kidnap neighboring korean artisans/ craftsmen/ architechs/carpenders/potterymakers/ blacksmiths/poets so on.. and they would force them to teach the japanese their skills. and thus. japanese culture was born.theres proof of this..because japan used to release korean craftsmen and artisans 1000s at a time.

its a pretty dance but seriously, they don't do anything but walk around and wave their fans in formation!!!!!!!! what kind of korean dance is that????????????
You seriously think that the culture of Korea was created in 1959? lol. Wow is that ignorant. Stop with the animosity towards Korea. It's people like you that I just despise. I'm excited to be visiting so many different places in Japan for a month with 3 Japanese friends from Nagoya this summer to immerse myself in a new, rich culture of Japan. Why? I'm very open minded and accepting. As half Korean and half Japanese, I am insulted by your comment. BTW, where are you getting 50 years from?
WOW, your like way more CLUELESS than the Movie put together. If that is what you think. CLEARLY your just either Particularly BIAS, or just plain Live to anoy people. Either way its just plain useless. Which is the saddest thing ever... Wow...
the most beautiful fan dance i ever watched... wow. but.... it's not complete.... why?
i just saw this recently because i'm trying to find what are the traditional dances in Korea. I needed to make a research... also i need to do them too... is this thing hard to do?
