I just got a lot of Mac eye shadow for Christmas and I can not get the kind of color that you seem to when your putting it on. I've been layering to get it there but you do it in one swoop of a brush. Could you tell me your trick?

This is my favourite look you have done!!!! I LOVE this colour. the MAC reflex purl pigment really finished the eyes nicely. I just had Lasik eye surgery so I cant wear any makeup for quite a while. try laura mercier oil cleanser is takes off makeup and cleans well and is gently . and dont use harsh exfoliates that helps with the redness try lactic acid in your moisturizer to exfoiliate and clean your face with your hands only no cloths

If you dont want to break the bank but you would like a candy theme you can get pvc pipe and cut it into three foot sections and use red tape to make candy canes. Also, staple two paper plates together and wrap with colored paper or saran wrap, twist the ends and tie with a ribbon for little candies or peppermints. They look really cute and are easy to make. :)

Gorgeous! I have a loose shadow that's almost that exact colour and it's my favourite but I've never been able to make it work to my satisfaction - it's not an easy shade to pull off. I'm going to try this look with it. Thanks for the idea. :-)

You keep saying that you don't need to go under the eye with the colour - but that's what makes the look! Beautiful, slightly smokey, but more imaginative that the normal smokey with blacks/greys... This is a wonderful "every-day" look. Lovely.

Hi Nic! I think the reason why your skin becomes red is that the movements (either with a brush or with your hands) you do to your face when you moisturize it increases blood circulation. The same thing happens to me, but I have normal skin instead of dry skin.
Ok, I have a question... you always say you don't powder your foundation and concealer before eyeshadow because of fallout... but if your skin is unpowdered, won't the eyeshadows stick to your foundation?? This has always confused me so much haha

In the US a "jumper" is like a like a dress that little school girls (and some fashion-challenged older ladies) wear - no sleeves, usually corduroy or plaid, worn over top a button-down or a turtleneck. It's like almost an obligatory part of a lot of elementary school girl uniforms... So it creates a funny image when you say that you, your husband and your dog are all wearing jumpers! I mean, I know that it's a sweater but it's still amusing. :)

Nic please dont take this the wrong way because i do not claim to know anything about makeup but in my opinion i dont think it is a good idea to take such dark colors so low underneath the eye, maybe like just a thin line? i dont know, maybe its just me

yey i was so happy when you mentioned you were using the sleek sparkle pallette because this is the only pallette i have of sleek and i haven't used since i brought it in january 2011. And i searched a lot of youtube videos to see if they were using it this is the best tutorial plz do more using ur sleek pallette. i can't wait to try this out thnxs

You keep saying that you don't need to go under the eye with the colour - but that's what makes the look! Beautiful, slightly smokey, but more imaginative that the normal smokey with blacks/greys... This is a wonderful "every-day" look. Lovely.

So beautiful!! You and Sam both have AMAZINGLY stunning eyes but yours really pop with this look! I have Hazel eyes that are more dark green than brown and I love using teal/green colors on my eyes! Hi Nic! I think the reason why your skin becomes red is that the movements (either with a brush or with your hands) you do to your face when you moisturize it increases blood circulation. The same thing happens to me, but I have normal skin instead of dry skin.

Ok, I have a question... you always say you don't powder your foundation and concealer before eyeshadow because of fallout... but if your skin is unpowdered, won't the eyeshadows stick to your foundation?? This has always confused me so much haha

I loved this! Is so easy, so pretty and love the colour it will be awesome for my brown eyes ^^ dark brown eyes hehe, Merry Xmas to you too, Nic and the little Harry! his first Christmas of many more! In the US a "jumper" is like a like a dress that little school girls (and some fashion-challenged older ladies) wear - no sleeves, usually corduroy or plaid, worn over top a button-down or a turtleneck. It's like almost an obligatory part of a lot of elementary school girl uniforms... So it creates a funny image when you say that you, your husband and your dog are all wearing jumpers! I mean, I know that it's a sweater but it's still amusing. :)

Nic please dont take this the wrong way because i do not claim to know anything about makeup but in my opinion i dont think it is a good idea to take such dark colors so low underneath the eye, maybe like just a thin line? i dont know, maybe its just me
