You do not need to be upgraded. I have the white version of him. There are two that patrol. Tyrant devilsaur and just plain devilsaur. They both patrol all over the crater. Good luck and happy hunting

the white devilsaur is in un'goro but like all the others in un'goro, devilsaurs are hard to find anyway, so just keep looking they're there

I typically find that doing a few quests, or gathering in the area, the devilsaurs usually find you.

If it's still news for you Wyvern Sting can be used instead of trap - it'll put any beast in a sleep for 30 sec. But the problem is it's from Surv spec and not an option for BM and exotic pets.

I think it can only stay freezed 15secs not longer than that.. u just have to tame it when is coming to u thats why the tame skill has 30 yards. I just tamed a white devilsaur took long cuz it kept kicking me in the last sec D:

Just wanted to thank you. Was having diffucultys taming the white devilsaur as I would get it seconds from taming and it would kick me causing the pushback and braking tame... never did I realise that ice trapping wouldnt break the tame.

depends on ur lvl. but u have to b lvl 60 to tame it. only bm hunters can tame these tho. if u catch it wen ur 60 itll b lvl 55

Ironhide Devilsaur is 10 times better looking, along with better stats.

Got this guy but replaced with Ironhide- if someone else is taming, simply distracting shot a few times then arcane shot, maybe a steady shot- it gets aggro on you, tame

i like the new look for wotlk because of beast mastery with exotic beast i was pissed because i was a hunter and wasnt able to tame most beast.. i was wondering why would they make hunters to tame beast then only limit you to like 10 or 11 beast in the game

Yup. In the 3.0 content patch thats coming in a few weeks, pets will no longer have the "training" using training points. Instead, they will get 1 talent point every 4 levels to use in a talent tree that is based on their family group (IE: Ferocity talents are only available to raptors, ravagers, and something else. Similar to that).

Ill be posting a Worm and Chimaera taming in a bit.

Does this mean that if you tame say a lvl 80 pet. Will it allready have the 20 talent points from the point that you tame it ? Because as it is now, when you tame a pet it seems to start at -training points

Yes. Divide the level of the pet by 4, thats how many it starts off with. It gains 1 point every four levels. A level 80 starts with the max of 20, but the Bm 51-point talent gives you a bonus 4.
