@theconnorkid try talking to the dow or forest servis there and if there are falcorny clubs around join them an get to know the peeps in falconry, i did and took my test unforitly missed it by 2% so ill take it again. its worth it tho
@DreamsofCentaurs just took it again this moring... all you do is put the date phone number email ect ect on the front then you start, make sure you know trapping sesons on ALL birds in your aera an specific falcorny hunting seasons they diffrer from normal ones btw.. you have some short responce (writeing) and some fill in the bubble or circel (eg, how many tail feathers dose a red tail have :A: :B: so on an u curcel a or b or w/e one it was) it is alil tough at firast jsut do ur best
I am very interested in falconry im to young to be an apprentice though. When i get old enough were could i find a sponser? Because i dont know anybody who is a falconer.
There's a nice falconry forum for practitioners all over the world, just remove the spaces. I know it's annoying but Youtube wouldn't let me post it otherwise: h t t p : / / w w w . f a l c o n r y f o r u m . c o . u k / f o r u m d i s p l a y . p h p ? f = 2 1 3
well I'm from quebec ( canada) but the permit is good for anywhere in North America so if you are from the East Coast well you can come and make it here just type in google '' Centre d'autorserie du Quebec '' theres english classes, it cost about 300$ and to buy a bird about 200$...
Awesome video! It gave me a look at what you have to do with such a majestic creature. I'm planning on becoming a falconer. Does anyone know the age requirement to become a falconer?
great video! I love it because it shows the hardship of working with a bird, like it all isnt fun and games. XD you finally got her going well for you near the end. She looks like shes having fun with you too!
Matt, nice effort on the bird. I see joy in you when you do it. very inspiring. I just passed the exam and trap myne in Sept over here near Spokane.
I just finished my mews which is much smaller but is attached to my 24x12 shed. I have a master falconer who has been in the biz for over 40 years so I am very fortunate in having his wisdom on board.
I'm 17, and I am going to go buy books to learn about falconry. I was just wondering how much would be a price range you think this would be, like for building a mew, and making your own furniture.
I spent about 2k on equipment:dog/telemetry/perches... etc. The mews was about 3-4k because it needed to have a cedar shingle roof and be built to look like a normal building. Also bought a truck...
i see you are in seattle, lucky you! i'm on long island, ny and i hate it here. not a hill in sight, ugh. flat as a pancake, congested too. i'm coming over.
wat did the exam cover??? by that i mean wat kind of questions were asked...are they ALL multiple choice¿?¿ the reason im asking u this is because im about to submit the permit documents....so i want to kind of know if i got everything kind of covered

I knew way more than what the exam covered. But it does take some time and a little practice to cover everything.
Aaronsworlddotcom 4 years ago
hey was it hard to pass the exam?
jjguitarmann 4 years ago
Personally, I found the exam fairly easy.
The hard part was actually manning and taking care of the bird.
