  • Finally got it- last time I knitted was in 5th grade-been wanting to learn for a while but you have the FIRST video that makes sense! THANKS * For those who dont get it- pick up a book @ library called Kids can Knit to see basics, that may help too.

  • omfg! the thread keeping coming off. cuz its so close to the edge :/

  • 1:45 "see this hole"? That is the part that no other video really bothered to explain clearly...it always came off like a magic trick or something, and it was bugging the hell out of me. Thanks so much...now I can proceed!

  • oh boy it did not help

  • loved this video

  • I though it was cool to have a young guy instructor! :)

  • Thank you so much! This has been a really big help!! All the other videos I found were of old granny people who've been doing this for so long and didn't explain it very well.

  • You're very welcome! If you have anymore questions, please let me know. I'm happy to help. =)

  • holy shit, i can actually knit, i learned from someone who isn't over the age of 78. thank you.

  • Great instructor!!

  • Screw Knitting i can not get it! Thx for the video though it seems like it was alot of help to everyone else! I guess i will go back to buying gifts for people instead of making them presents!! :( :(

  • aww don't give up! there are lots of other videos on knitting, you should watch videos from: theknitwitch, knittingtipsbyjudy, threadbanger, cyberseams, or even expertvillage! good luck!

  • get lost....

  • dude. this is too hard.

  • Thanks a ton! Slowly learning to knit and this helped after learning to cast on. And it made me smile.

  • OH MY GOD! Thank you so much!

Friggin' cyberseam is shit. I've been trying to learn the basics of knitting all eveining, for almost two hours and I can't find any decent videos or articles to teach me, but this is GREAT! Fantastic pace, close-up, demonstration. . .everything. And you even let us know that even great knitters can screw up sometimes. (: My favorite part is your voice.

    Thanks again!

  • You're a superstar! Thanks so much for these videos - I've been struggling to learn all week but have finally cracked it! :o)

  • Oh.......So you have to gr

  • Thank you so much, I've been trying to learn how to knit for a while now, and watching movies... this video shows step by step instructions that I actually understand and make sense. You have helped me enormously thank you very much ^_^

  • You're welcome!

    Good luck!

And don't forget to drink a beer. =)

  • love the video very straight to the point and the camera isnt too far away

  • Once again, your video was the only one that taught me the knit stitch! Thanks for going slow and easy for us beginners :) I was getting so frustrated after having watched about 6 other videos!

  • No problem! Glad you got it. =)

  • I've been watching a ton of videos trying to learn how to knit and this is the only one that went at a pace that made any sense. Not to mention it's awesome that a guy can knit. Thanks alot!

  • Glad I could help!

Good luck with your knitting. =)

    xo

    c

  • im 11 and i just learned how to knit and im a pro now and i just knitted my first scarf yeay

  • this was working really great until I realized that I had not joined the ends of my work on my circular needles!

  • Hey Urban - I learned how to knit this way as well, but once I moved over to this side I was converted to European knitting and it seems so much faster and logical. Do you have any experience with this - any opinions as well?

  • The Continental method. Or left-handed knitting.

I don't know how to do it! And I know it's so much faster.

It's something I aspire to do.

I just need to get the rhythm down pat.

Good for you mastering the left-handed method!

  • I should then try to make my own video showing you how to do it. Can you wait until after Christmas? :)

  • hey can you post that method? thank you in advance

  • hole, not whole. Education!

  • I just watched like 12 videos on how to do that and this was the only one that was clear where exactly to put the needles and string. The rest just said "...then you put the needle through the whole then the string over the needle..." Which is great except that it sucks. I just kept asking "which needle?" and "which hole?" Thanks for clearing up that ambiguity.

  • You're welcome!

I was trying to be as thorough as possible.

Good luck with your knitting, friend!

  • thx your vid helped alot.

  • It's not weird that a guy's teaching knitting; it's AWESOME.

  • Thx your video helped me alot! I had started learning how to knite from a book, It had pictures but I couldn't figure out what they were doing. lol so thanks

  • Learning to knit from a book is NOT COOL AT ALL! That's how I learned, and it was so hard!

Glad I could help you, sweetness! =)
