The actual footprint firewoks WERE going off at the same time as the simulated one on TV, and in much the same way... tourists and people in Beijing saw the footprint fireworks fired above sky.
but it was hard to capture all those 29 footprint fireworks on a helicopter, and it was hard to predict the weather or other cirumstances, and following those footprint fireworks could endanger the safety of the helicopter pilot. So, they showed a 55-second CGI illustration for the people watching TV.
Eight years after Sydney hosted the 2000 Summer Olympics, officials with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra acknowledged their stirring performance at the opening ceremony was entirely prerecorded. And perhaps even more cringe-inducing for Sydney residents: some of the music was recorded by the symphony of rival city Melbourne.
BBC says something and you automatically assume it's right?!
This is the problem! BBC always try to show bad sides of China because they think it's "entertaining" and have you ever saw anything good about China on BBC? No! Because you wouldn't watch it and they can't make money out of it!
So BBC shows China is bad all the time, and you just assume China is all bad... what sort of logic is that?!
@xuci111111 Another BIASED media is CNN. and the worst is 新塘人 in the Youtube. All these media employs haters to fabricate bad things about China. They never miss a chance to make China looks ugly
I've seen Hello Kitty's face displayed in fireworks way up in the sky right before my eyes. These misshapen footprints are not that hard to pull off if you have the right people on the job. No need for 'digital' magic.
This video should be spread like wild fire to combat the smear campaign being waged against China's image in the jealous reaction the the greatest Olympic opening ceremony in history. By the way, Bob Costas, while commentating about the footprint fireworks said that that scene was a "digital effect". It was not a secret. There was no way to get that angle without risking the helicopter crew.
