Oh don't worry that happens to me ALL the time :) what you do is when you go to the camera and the screen is black switch your iPod off completely! (hold the power button down until it says slide to switch off or something) turn it back on and your camera will work! :)

Ooh! I know how to do it, and quicker (it happens to my iPod touch a lot). First, when u get to it and it's all black, hold down both volume buttons and u will here the camera BING noise, and then it will automatically go to the home screen again. Second, click on the camera app, and it will be sure to work! -puppyrule365

Try completely shutting it down then turn on and try again :)
