  • @rawrfex um......... Retard alert

  • You definitely zoomed in at the last few seconds. If the Plane was dropping that fast it wouldn't have landed on the run-way.

  • thumbs up if you took a cruise to ST.Maarten

  • Is there any hotel close to this beach? If yes, give me a name of that hotel. thx

  • @psychoDLH - Google is your friend.

  • shuold've flipped it upsidedown

  • I want to travel here just to do this.

  • Did he died?

  • Do they sell earplugs at that beach?

  • schon mal auf das post-datum geschaut

ich glaub kaum das CK 2006 auch schon da war

  • Can you fly a kite at that beach?

  • @chackers i dont think that would be a very good idea..

  • Boah WTF ich Will CK da mal sehehn xD

  • CkKkK!

  • Daumen hoch, wenn ihr euch das wegen CK anguckt ;)

  • He did't zoom in, this is real.

    I've been there.

It's scary, the planes come so close.

  • GUYS HE DIDNT ZOOM IN IVE BEEN THERE THEY REALLY DO GET THAT CLOSE!

  • holy shit...

  • Holy crap! I'm going there on April 20 on a Caribbean cruise on carnival victory! Can't wait!!!!

  • GAHHH. i would have pissed my pants on the spot. :|

  • Woah! I've heard about this beach, and all the scary tales.. Though I want to go there just to experience it for myself.. How was it? :P

  • talk about close

i would love to do what you did but perhaps a bit further away

  • Thats crazy but cool LOL

  • Bummer, you didn't film the landing like the video says.

  • pretty cool

  • went there last year

when a 747 takes off al the sand blows at you like a sand storm

    absolutely kills

  • been there sharkseekers video is true and depending on the pilot and aircraft they will come as low as they can to the beach without hitting the wire fence ive been there its pretty crazy

  • I went to that beach, it blows up all the sand and water lol

  • How scary would it be standing under there.... I'd be scared shitless but it would cool though

  • Where you killed capturing this video?

  • only the last part of the clip was good.

  • I think he zoomed in at the last second.

  • Please get it straight. I never zoomed in or out to capture this video. The camera I used is not capable of zooming while filming in video mode. Camera was a Sony DSC-W7.

I stood on the beach, right under the landing and stopped taping when I was getting sand blasted by the jet engines.

    Thanks for watching everyone.

  • @Sharkseeker its true.

    i was standing there too

  • @Sharkseeker i know how u feel, thats pretty scary!! i was there when about 10 747s landed!!

  • wow, that was cool. :)

  • WHAT THE !!!!

  • OMFG its amazing! :D

  • Whaha when i saw the tail so close i said Oh sh!t xD next time get a stone and throw at it

  • WOW! my heart was pounding at 0:45 lol. really great vid, id be too terrified to film it myself lol.

  • I'm sure the pilots love this! :-P

  • watching people scared? i bet :D

  • Very impressive. Congratulations!

  • at about 0:45 i was screaming to myself "HOLY MOTHER OF FUCKING JESUS CHRIST" LOL

  • very great quality

  • how close to the plane were you!

  • About 50 feet below the plane, standing on the beach, not lying down.

  • i have one of those vids. too

  • sooo cool

  • Yep, you know you'll always get the best shots when you stand right on the localizer.

  • i need to laugh.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • I'd very much like to visit this beach one day and see just how dramatic being jetblasted is :)

  • hello sharkseeker. where exaclty is st maartins airport. i have to go there and see a beach landing

  • Just type Princess Julian International Airport or TNCM in google.

  • Juliana*

  • it's on the southwest tip of an island called ST. Maarten, about 150 miles east of Puerto Rico and 40 miles north of Saint Kitts

  • that was close

  • impressive!!!

  • woah i nu wat was cumin and i still got a fright!

  • Cool! Now film an A-380 ;)

  • Fukkkk!!!!!!

I already knew what this was but...

    My heart Jumped!!

  • Good lord, how would you feel if a plane flew so close over you that you could see that it needed cleaning O_O

  • Damn near makes road kill outta ya!

  • Goddamn it that scared me

  • i think that was to high

  • Actually, even if it was sarcasm, I think it's correct. I read somewhere that the main gear should be no less than 35 feet above the fence.

  • Why are they landing that low? When you look at on vid you would think, that it is an accident, but there are more vids with other planes...

  • The thing you have to remember is that this is in the Caribbean, not the states. The airport has one runway that was built in the 70's by the US for Navel Purposes. It is now used for commercial use...

I remember when we were anchored off the cost of Moho beach and one of these puppies came in and ripped the foresail and flying jib right off our ship.... I was hilarious until we saw the damage!

  • I think they shouldn't use the airport anymore. it's too dangerous!

  • well, it is a poor island and the main income is tourism, so thats sorta hard to do! They shouldn't be flying 747's in there! I agree with you there!

  • That is incorrect,St Maarten is not a poor island buddy.

  • most airliners have 747s tho so its a tad hard for them not too but as a plane spotter from way back maho beach would be an awesome place to take photos etc its one o the places i would like to visit before i die with a digital SLR camera :)

  • It's not to dangerous actually. Although some pilots come in quite low, there has not been any accidents involving the harm of any people. These Pilots go through vigorous training. They know what to do!

  • How is it dangerous? It's no more dangerous than a normal airport, unless they undershoot the runway, which is VERY VERY VERY unlikely.

  • @arceus121 Only dangerous in that the jet wash can pick up a piece of driftwood, or dog shit for that matter, and drive it through your eyeball. O.o

  • The runway is barely large enough for a 747 to land on (it has to touchdown as close to the end as possible). So it has to come in very low on final.

  • Lol Holy Shit, id love to go to that beach

and wait for the planes lol

  • Nice day over there!

  • lol.pause it directly on 44 secs, the wheels nearly hit you

  • how high above u is the 747?

  • the jet is usually 100 feet above the ground where this is filmed.

  • lol u can jump and catch it :D

  • So amazing.

  • @HelenaManic i agree :L

  • reminds me of waynes world....

  • where in the world is St. Martin

  • Netherlands Antilles

  • you can find it on google earth

  • its in the carraebian... its part of both france (the north part as st martin) and the netherland antillies (south part as st Maarten) it looks like its the sth part we are talking about here

  • trust me, i have been there too, they are that close, thats not a zoom

  • Oh well here goes try #4

The planes are really that low, Ive been there myself. Heres a pic I took showing a smaller plane (which approach at a higher glide angle) right over the beach.

F**** the URL it never gets posted right...

  • Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't allow you to post URLs. Blame all those spammers.

  • What happened to my comment???

  • great!!

  • Uhm, this is just my opinion, what I THINK.

I think the camera-man has been zoomed in full, because you can see how much he's shaking while he holds the camera.

I bet some people will say: "Maybe because he/she's scared?"

Well, I think it's because he has zoomed in alot, then it looks like it is very close.

  • Serivius is 50/50 correct. he zoomed rite when it was over him but the rest was on a little zoomed in

  • o ur prob using a digital camera thats bout 3 yrs old

i have one of these and i hate that except mine is a powershot

  • ur gf is prob bout 3 yrs old. Get new 1.

  • he ain't zoomed in trust me, they are that low, and because of that, u get a huge jet blast

  • holy shit that must of been really scary

  • No, it's fan-bloody-tastic!

  • that's real enough...

  • Is that a video on FSX beacuse it don look real...

  • been there done that......very very very very exciting =D

  • nice video !

  • a plane is going to crash there

  • @coolguy676: A plane can crash anywhere... obviously, the pilots have experience with STOL operations and experience with precision landings, so they are prepared to make that landing. It's not like they just took Joe Pilot, stuck him in a 747, and told him to land.

  • a plane will crash there one day for sure

  • why should it? There's nothing dangerous or difficult about this approach, it's no more difficult than thousands of other airports in the world, just happens to have a beach under the threshold that's all. Stupid comment

  • yeah this doesnt take any balls!

  • i'd pay to be there.. it seems amazing

  • i take it Maho beach is right infront of Princess Juliana

  • wow absolutely unreal that would be my perfect vacation

  • pff sint maarten is a great island and there are dozens of other great beaches, if you honestly only went to that beach and let that spoil and be the judge of your entire holiday then thats kinda sad for having missed out on all those other great beaches

  • plus, jumbo jets landing all day? as far as i knew there is only about 6 jumbo flights per week so..thats just almost 1 a day compared to all day long

  • Thats not true, it was non stop, and to go to the other beaches you needed a car, which I didnt have. I was staying at Mahi beach hotel, so that beach was very convenient. I just think they should warn you when selling you the holiday.

  • you are right on that point yea, they should tell you about it but you know how it goes, they would rarely tell the negative facts about places, but maho beach is only very small and as i remember it from my holiday, there is plenty of other beaches within walking distance who dont have this problem. as to the jumbos, its not non stop there are only 6 a week, it might be smaller planes from nearby isles but no jumbos.

  • I don't use the word 'jumbo jet' because it does'nt sound right i use the word '747' or beoing 747!

  • boeing 747 sounds best though :P

  • yep sounds best if u say jumbojet u don't wat type 747 if it is old version of a 747 e.g 747-300 747-400!

  • Dont play smart! off course i know that! its just that Zeesham 13 wrote beoing, not boeing so it was just a little prank. and btw i can beat you in an airplane quiz at airliners any day. i work with planes every day

  • well obvisously ur older dan i think im 14!

  • you can hear a kid screaming in the background

  • Thanks for this. We just booked to go to St. Maarten and this same beach, MAHO Beach and the Sunset Bar right next to it, in September. I will be taking my new Sony HD video camera.

  • where is this airport

  • this airport is in st maarten

  • yeah i know that but where is st maarten

  • in the nederland antilles if you know where puerto rico is its ver close from there its some small islands

  • St maarten is French Carribean

  • St.Maarten is Dutch Caribbean, St.Martin is French Caribbean :)

  • It was a KLM 747-300.

  • That is too cool. I am missing out. My next vacation is going to be to St. Maarten

  • Nice vid - and nice zoom in at the end for effect

  • lol, there's no zoom, the planes actually get that close to you :P

  • Of course there is a zomm effect at the end. Look again.

  • eh you're probably right man, just kinda doesn't look like it to me

  • This was filmed with a DSC7 7.2mp. Read my lips... NO ZOOM! Glad u enjoyed it though.

  • Hard to believe, especially at 44 seconds, if there is no zoom then the plane is dropping like a stone...

  • check my video on st maarten landings. the plane just shades the beach!!

  • it looks like FSX with a cool blur/shapren and custo light =)

  • Are they always that low?

  • That seemed to drop last minute

  • quality vid, shear quality. Thats on my top 10 destinations to visit before im Old/Boring or Dead.

  • hahahaha

  • CRAP! Do they have world records for this kind of thing?

  • That was really cool Man. Oh nous927 that coment was just dumb arse, your a fucking Moron.

  • what an stupid coment

  • uve got issues

  • fuckin bollox mate.

  • This is the best. I was here and I want come back. Is fantastic when the airplanes happen over your head in the beach.

  • man, sincerelly, honestly, if I was there, seeing a 747 landing like this, 1ft above my head, I would shit in all my pants :X

  • Never seen a 747 tail that close!

  • HAHAHA THAT WAS CRAZY ASS

  • wow, what if a guy stood on a 12ft ladder on that spot trying to film it, lol

  • WOW!!

  • woah poor kid saying ahhh is probably wetting him self
