  • It's even funnier if you trade forex.

  • That's crazy, HBO's upload is complete crap compared to mine.

  • Well the uk will handle the gfc2 worse than the uk, who's economy is based largely on banks which are poised to crumble. Buy gold, or it doesn't matter what country your from, you'll all be third world. Or bettet, buy silver

  • @fightington

As much as I like the UK, this has some truth to it. Almost 11% of the UK GDP is from the banking sector. The vast majority if which is to other EU countries. With their latest separatist actions towards the EU, it's like that those countries will act punitively against the UK by moving their banking services to other EU countries. This will cause a domino effect devastating the UK financially. Add to which the UK's inability to provide its own food and oil. Bad times.

  • @cfs3mytube watch 'THE KIESER REPORT'. Max Kieser and Stacy Herbert will let you know what's up. :), mat

  • Come on guys, I am an American and even I knew that was funny. Certainly America is not a third World Country Ricky is just a brilliant Comedian who tries to make people laugh at things you did not think you could laugh about. Thank God for England for bringing so much laughter to America, not only Ricky but John Cleese, Roman Atkinson, Charlie Chaplin, Eddie Izzard and so many more.

  • @TlMEtoLAUGH stan laurel from laurel and hardy was english also

  • @TlMEtoLAUGH well in many aspects the u.s really is a third world country. the gap between the rich and the poor for instance, the u.s is one spot ahead of Uganda (for now).

  • That actually was pretty funny, but its not like its new, the american dollar has always been worth a bit less than the british pound, and last I checked America is turning into a Turd World dictatorship, but not quite as fast as England, where you can be handcuffs-and-siren arrested for a racial slur in a private e-mail, and when they find your innocent they take and put your DNA signature on file. (look it up, dailymail.co.uk)

  • @81broncoman While the first sentence of that is true, you can't really list the Daily Mail as a reliable source.

  • @81broncoman wow, you read the daily mail.

  • American humour is based on discrimination, on racism, ignorance and arrogance...but they can't take this little joke? Wankers.

  • @MaghoxFr I can and I think its fucking brilliant. Dont group all americans into one-we're not all wankers!

  • @kat1639 yeah generalisations are pretty close to fascism, and even though I try to avoid it, sometimes I get off track. My bad. So I suppose my comment was aimed at those who couldn't take the joke, who I think we agree, are wankers. Sorry for the offense, sincerely.

  • @MaghoxFr laughed didn't they? i'd say they took it pretty well. you seem kinda desperate to hate.

  • The devaluation of the US dollar is entirely caused by insane debt run up by an out of control congress, and by terrible policies involving the Federal Reserve, central banking, and the absurd way "money" is created out of thin air. Citizens have absolutely no control over this monstrosity. The pretense of voting is a sham with no effect on the status quo. The only way to correct it would be to scrap the whole sorry system from the ground up and start fresh with something more sane.

  • Sense of humour and freedom of speech are on the verge on extinction in the States. That's just sad.

  • Winning a fight over whos dollar is higher is like having the bigger dick. Its pointless if your not getting any. And America is not getting any from anywhere.

  • @willcomentforfood Well said.

  • I can't believe people are actually bagging the English due to their currency going to shit. Firstly, it isn't going to shit, your US dollar is.

Did you know that last week an Australian dollar was worth $1.01 US dollar... Meaning that the Aussie dollar is Stronger than the us'.

Dont live in ignorance and don't be cocky like that

  • are you an offended american?

then stop buying everthing you "own" on credit.

and soon this joke will be old news and you wont owe trillions of dollars to asian people.

you just buy what you can actually afford.

    best wishes

    the reasonables

  • @kralle7611 Agreed. And I'm American, sadly.

  • @kralle7611

oh, I believe you've confused Americans with American Politicians. See contrary to popular opinion america is actually ruled by an oligarchy which more or less holds fake elections just to prevent rebellion.

  • Heh, funny thing americans can laugh when Ricky says "What's it like to live in a third world country?". I live in a third world country and I can answer that... it feels like shit.

  • @joni909 Which country do you live in?

  • @krkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkx argentina

  • @joni909 Oh, kickass. I was there in Buenos Aires (Belgrano) this summer. It doesn't seem that bad of a country to me when I was there, though, except maybe in the rural areas. Has it gotten a lot worse since last year?

  • @krkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkx well, it got worse. buenos aires is a nice place for turists, but is a bad place to live. the rural areas are full of poberty and the city is declining more and more each year

  • @krkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkx it's been the same since your tiny touristic and privileged summer trip. Surprise, people don't live in hostels and talk to toher tourists all day.

  • @powerpill I wasn't there on a tourist trip, brosev.

I was actually there to study the language and I lived in an apartment with an Argentinian.

    Why you mad, bro?

  • @krkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkrkx study the language sounds like a totally non-privileged reason to me too, bro, it's not like you could, you know, study spanish wherever you live. And renting is clearly a non-tourist thing, too! You totally lived there! Like for a summer! You know how long that is? It is really long! Like, a fourth of a full year. Bro you sure got enough time to know how people live in Buenos Aires and the rest of Argentina as well, my bad.

  • @powerpill It's okay, man. I'll forgive you for being so judgmental before.

  • funny joke. funnier is the state of the UK and the GBP right now. lol.

  • @DankWin no really the pound is still miles stronger then the Dollar, haha i think your getting mixed up, the euro has gone to shit and the pound is taking advantage of it :p that yokel obama did'nt work out did he lmao.....thats a funnier joke!!

  • @DankWin Not sure hwat your point is there, I think the pound is worth just under 1.5 dollars. £1 = $1.45

  • @Xiolablu3 little baby doesn't know anything about global finance i see

  • @DankWin Yeah, I was wrong its £1 to $1.6 dollars, dollar is worth even less than I thought...

  • @Xiolablu3 oh no, US exports are even cheaper than you thought :( whatever will we do :(

i was half joking at first, but it looks like you really are retarded.

  • @DankWin WTF is with you? All I did was made two statements about the pound vs the dollar...if thats retarded then so be it...?!?!

  • As mentioned before, he's exaggerating, because it's funny. I'm surprised to see so many pissed off yanks to be honest. You're always discriminating other races and nationalities when it comes to comedy, but when other countries tell an innocent joke about America, suddenly it's not funny. Fucking hell, that's just pathetic.

  • umm yh, guys, i think he was exaggerating for comic effect, no need to whine about it

  • It hurts when your 'my country is better than every other' mindset takes a hit, doesn't it?

  • damn, you americans can't take a joke. stop being babies. americans joke about other nationalities all the time

  • does he mean " whats its like living in a third world country " because we have so many blacks and browns ? its bad ricky , very bad

  • @citic101 pretty sure this was filmed at the beginning of the recession, when the dollar was really weak. Nothing to do with race (though it's interesting that that's where your mind went instantly...)

  • @citic101 no he doesnt you moron... its called being ironic. America is as far away a third world country as you are going to get, and by poking fun at how expensive things seem in England compared to America he takes the piss out of his own country as well. it is subtle humour

  • @ijustshotmarvin No your fool, this was recorded at the start of the "Depression" when america was losing its mind over how bad they thought it was going to be.

  • @killlerkan08 oh way to be an ignorant tosser. you think that it was America was losing its mind? how about the rest of the Western world. You can't honestly be trying to say that 'America's depression' is as bad as a third world country like those in Africa, or that of Bangladesh. Step back and take a look at the bigger picture.

  • @ijustshotmarvin When did i say it was as bad? He is clearly joking you mong. Dont have a go at me for a joke i didnt even write.

  • Wow learn to take a joke

  • I noticed he reused a lot of the jokes in the Letterman interview.

  • @thestranger4812 As do all comedians.

  • I'm pretty sure this was slightly before the resession when 1 pound equaled 2 dollars.

  • Traditionally, and for as long as I can remember, the pound has hovered around the 2 dollar mark meaning you half the US price for the cost in stirling. "$90? Thats just 45 quid!" etc etc so I understand what Rickys poking fun at.

Its a bit diffeent now, youre lucky if you can get £1.5 to the dollar.

  • @hmun01 £1 = $1.5 currently

  • @BokoNOM The sad part is that now the AUS $ is the same as the US $.

  • Ballsy. Gotta love Ricky.

  • look who´s laughing now....pounds? nhéeeeee!

  • You know how much money the guy raises, he is also known to play the idiot on his stage.

Some people just don't get the serious nature behind the humour, think about it people.

  • @Mina0008 yeah, he is wo fucking awesome.

really one of my biggest idols :)

  • Lol

  • @Cambewarra2644

    Out of taste???

as its a joke against americans it's out of taste?? wow

  • What's it like not enjoying humour?

  • @edumad

    Don't know. Do tell us?

  • @edumad agrivated i imagine haha

  • @lordy500

Get a sense of humour. It clearly isn't a Third World Country. He is making a joke about the people in the audience and they laughed.

  • @lordy500 this comment is so retarded it made me laugh

  • New York, USA

  • He's saying that Pounds are more then American Dollars. Which they are more :P.

  • @JcM944 So judging by the thumbs up your comment received, there are at least around 30 people who know nothing about economics or exchange rates. Most of this guy's stuff is funny and very clever, this wasn't.

  • @JcM944 You are an idiot, Pounds are not "more", They are valued higher.

  • @TheEnglishAtheist1 Calm down there speed racer. Why would you reply to my comment which I made a year ago? Scratch that it was on the top comments section. I was going to insult you by wondering why would you look through all the comments but since thats been done with.... I really have nothing else to say so ill just press the reply button here and let you read the rest of the things im going to type which that was pretty much it so right now your just reading this for no reason at all.

  • @JcM944 100 thumbs up to your nonsensical post.?! Never mind. You're not the only idiot on the block.

  • @sk8erfrombham <<<< stupid

  • NYC, he is telling post recession Americans "how does it feel like living in a third world country?" Spot on sense of humor
