why the hell does Battlefield 3 have less stuff than bf1942 and bf2? I mean, DICE took out commander, 6 player squads, battleships, submarines, artillery stirke and other stuff too. The only thing bf3 has more than the other bf games is weapon attachments and gadgets... which hardly make any difference to the gameplay

@Orly90 i own 1942 and I hate the remake of 1943 trust me 1942 was great and it still is, you know i might install it again because it was that fun. Plus please dont tell me a game isnt fun based on graphics i know and im sure you know....playing games like counter strike and quake were the reason i started gaming and even today i dont mind good or bad graphics but it is still nice to have a good looking game as well as a good story.

I avoided this at first for some reason, god knows why. Then I picked up a box set along with its expansions back end of 2003. Was one of best things I ever did. I even bought a joystick specifically for this game so I could fly the planes.

Only in BF1942 can a U.S. Marine take off is a Corsair, drop a bomb on a Japanese aircraft carrier, bail out over Midway Island with a scoped Lee-Enfield, and take out a bunch of guys on an airfield. You can't do that kind of shit in Battlefield games anymore.

@tylerhan2000 No, a us marine (carrying russian wepones because most weapons are not fraction specific) take of with a F/A 18, get locked on by 40 stingers, run behind a montain, fire a air-ground missile at carrier and do 25 dmg, get shot down by indestructable AAs, bail out with a SKS russian rifle as it is not fraction specific, only to find that the enemy base counts as out of bounds and you hev 10 seconds to return back to the 500m by 500m tiny map.

If you were looking at buying a FPS, definitely get the latest ones first, then, if you have the spare cash n all, get this and the classics, they arent the best, but that dosent mean they arent fun :)
