With this program, you will lose all control over your bluetooth dongles even if you don't want the MotionJoy driver. You won't be able to charge your controller from your pc while playing ps3. Your xbox360 controller will now be incompatible. Look at the mess MotionJoy has made. Google search:how to remove MotionJoy. For future reference if you do need to uninstall it you need to search your registry for 'DS3' when the .exe file comes up delete it with fire ! ! Upvote for others to see please.

@B33FY2011 I had the same problem, then i realize that my ps3 was ON while i was setting up the controller on my pc. Turn OFF the ps3. Close the "DS3 TOOL" program (the one that you just installed) and open it again. If everything goes well the controller will vibrate for just a second, that means that you are on the right pad. If it doesnt recognize the controller right away, press the PS button on the controller, that should "wake up" the controller...

I really hate motioninjoy. There is a nasty problem a lot of people have where if you plug any kind of USB device in your pc, windows sees it as a motioninjoy virtual xinput device, and it won't work probably because it installs the wrong drivers. Pain in the arse to get rid of too, because uninstalling won't solve the problem.

@mrdiaz0108 Yeah I figured it out. Just make sure you delete the motioninjoy drive files whenever you're having problems with a USB device. It's in device manager. Look for it, go to properties, and drivers, and select to delete the drive files when you uninstall the drivers. Restart the computer, and it should be good.

When I was trying to figure out how to turn on the analogs which was confusing because I did exactly what you showed on here and also what Migtav said; and it just wasn't showing anything that you guys have seen. I had no option to turn on analogs.

Okay after that though, my controller somehow disconnected from the computer and turned my PS3 on.

It's off now but my controller wont connect to the PC anymore =/

1-Exit DS3 Tool make sure not running in back round too

2- unplug controller then plug it back in

3- Run DS3!

@TheGam3rftw change to POV, joysticks, analog trigger. then hit enable at the bottom. then hot controller panel and calibrate the joysticks. the right analog should move the z axis and z rotation after its all done. the left analog moves the grid.

In the description, step 8,, make sure once you click with analog on the options in the profile main page,, once you do that this is the most important -> CLICK ON "ENABLE" then finish to step 9. Hope this helps :D

Thank you so much :') I have been trying for hours to get this to work.

Key note to ANYONE trying this. Do not plug in the PS3 controller while you are loading the drivers. It won't recognize it or sync if you do. It's fine if you already plugged it in before and the Microsoft drivers installed, just don't have it plugged in while loading the drivers.

This has caused me a bit of grief and it turned out that was my problem. Thanks for the step by step instructions :D.
