IT should be noted to all of you complainers, the system we have now for tree farms is unbelievably successful. There are over 2x as many trees in the US today as there were 50 years ago -that's hardwood, by the way. Every year, our wood resources increase by several MILLION more board feet than we are cutting down. Forestry companies cut trees and plant others, keeping on a rotation system that ensures that our forests are actually growing each year. These machines, therefore, are not evil.
@DLBBAM This is the UK not the USA. It is not just about the number of trees it is about the type of woodland habitat and bio-diversity that is created.
We have Ancient woodlands here that are diverse and beautiful, not the mono culture favoured by agro-corporations.
There is a plan to sell off a lot of this "un productive" woodland and there is concern that this could be a bad move.
You notice you don't see the trees getting cut down? I think it's because the guy in the machine gets and and cuts them down with a chainsaw, but they didn't want to show that in the clip, so they only showed the trees getting stripped and cut.
bazdaganiemk no your right about one thing forests dont grow in a month! these trees were planted about 50 years ago by hand with the intention of being cut down. once these trees are cut down and processed the forests are then restocked with either broadleaf or again with the soft wood type trees for our next generation. we will always have a need for timber. especially when it is an eco friendly fuel!!
and trees were planted to be cut down....its a tree farm........pls.......trees dont grow in couple of months....but forests r getting distroyet more than 1/month...so this "FARM TREE " EXCUSE....ITS lame
wtf???do u even have protumberances on your brain or its a ski pant????do u think its normal to invent this?looool...they can finish 1forest/day....:|...how many forests u think we have?????????? but its funnnnnnnn....upiiiiiii....:|
yeah, its about the trees, don't take it personally tho, I don't support high production fishing either. Corn, wheat, Christmas Trees and wine are not natural resources.
I understand the need for timber products, I enjoy wood and paper as much as you, I believe chainsaws and gill nets have no place in natural resource harvesting, There is a thing called supply and demand, if chain saws and gill nets were outlawed the supply would drop making your product more valuable and you more wealthy.
What cut it down so it could be replanted? Farmers must be bastards as well.... cutting down all that wheat! fyi a tree converts more CO2 to O2 when it is younger, just like babies need more energy to grow when they are young. Those bastard babies.
yup, i am. I made it myself from a tree that i cut down. and i didnt destroy a forest to do it. I also make wooden bows from trees that i cut down and you know what? the average tracker let alone most people would never even know that i was there and cut a tree. you dont need to destroy a forest to make things from wood.
No, you don't. You just have to farm some tre, and the to cut them down. Your chair isn't less tree-killing than mine and maybe more, because every bit of the tre that was cut to craft my chair has been used for paper, panels, even the sawdust was recycled....
What about all the wood of that tree that hasn't been used to build your chair...?
thankyou for your kind words

What about wheat (or corn) farm machine, or wineyard machines...
You don't like the either, or is it just because it's about trees...?

And wood would be unaffordable, so nobody could make a living out of harvesting it, and we should use more plastic...
khargrar 2 years ago
yeah, well go for it, it's your tree farm... Maybe someday somebody will come up with a way for it to be profitable for you to leave larger buffers.
