I just got back from a District Chorus Concert in Hollidaysburg, Pa. ( I live in Altoona). David Brunner was our guest conductor. I got to talk to him personally about composition. I even mentioned this video to him, and he explained that it was the first time it was put to orchestra for high school. I love him...he's a freakin genius!!!

20 years ago this was me -- 1986-87, first chair Tenor 2 from Big D--hell yeah!! I still have the live concert recordings (originally on cassette, LOL) and listen to them religously---one of the best choral sounds ever created by a group young, old, or otherwise. Thank you, God, for this!!

AHHH !!! I freaken love this song. But I really like all the songs. I think each song shows different characters as well as diversity. But meeting David L. Brunner was the icing on that beautiful cake. lol ha ha !!! completely breath taking !

Wonderful voices, but the song selection is horrible in my opinion. The past 2 years were so much more entertaining/enjoyable/choral. This piece and the hard times peace are the only two worth singing i think. The others were just not up to par

YEAH!! I was in this choir. 3rd Chair tenor 1 region 26 area D. By far, this peice had to be my favorite. So tear-jerking, and when the basses go down to that low C..ahh man I cannot wait until next year!! :)
