For everyone wondering, The way the Holy Spirit works is that it first manifests itself slowly. After a certain amount of time though, it hits full force. So, 2009 it started coming slowly. My guess is, after a couple of years, The Worldly Spiritual Revival WILL HIT FULL BLAST!
Sorry for the double post but I think the point is that it would be unlikely for Parham or Seymour to speak of a revival to occur 100 years in the future while they were speaking of the "any moment" "soon return" immanent coming.
Mark, again, they did not actually teach this the way AoG do today. GO to the old apostolic faith papers and read the confessions of faith. Either they dont include the return of Jesus at all, or they refere to acts 1 "It is not for you to know the times and seasons which the Father bath in his own power;" They literally taught that jesus' return could tarry for a long time, but our respons to the spirit was the main thing. The prophecy is totally inline with original azusa escatology.
It is suspicious that the source of this info is limited to Tommy Welchel and of those programs who hosted him. Meanwhile Martha Wing Robinson said that the teaching and experience that was known by her group of ministers would be almost forgotten 100 years into the future.
actually, the prophecy itself was widely known and talked about. Ive heard ministers even over here (sweden) refere to it - unrelated to tommy welchel and they include details that tommy does not know or mention. (seymoure literally mentiones specific nations). Parhams is not only known but recorded in church history from the day it was made. I encourage you to do some more research.
I think this prophecy is dubious not only because it is now 2010 but also because it is very unlikely that Seymour would have uttered it. Seymours eschatology would not have allowed him to do so since it was his belief that Jesus would come back any moment. Did not Parnham also say that the coming of Jesus according to the description of their eschatology would occur before he died? Surely neither believed they would live another 100 years.
@MARK317th mark, parhams prophecy is actually on record and it was not agaisnt theyr escatology. Seymours endtime view is different than you'd think. The dispensationism that the penetcost movement mostly embrace today is not what they believed in the beginning. They literally taught that noone can know the day and hour and discouraged to have strong opinions about the date of coming of jEsus, but instead focus on the power to evanglize the world.

Here in Atlanta there is a church called I.H.O.P (The International House of Prayer) and they pray 24/7 literally. My family and I have been attending and my back pain of 18 years is totally gone now and other miracles are happening. Nothing as extraordinary as limbs growing back but I promise it feels like it is time for his glory to return and we are praying for just that. Christians everywhere have to be on fire for this to happen. Pray Christians Pray! We must Believe!
yeah, i just finished this book that this guy wrote, and it is very clear that while pentacost went all over the world, the shekina glory stayed in azusa, in that certian building. The prophecy is not about a new worldwive pentacost revival, but that that shekina glory that hovered in azusa shall be restored and go over the earth. Its something that hasnt happened before.
If yall check out the "The Strategy For This Season : Jan 25 '09" sermon by bill johnsen at ibethels site, he totally connects to this prophecy and this guys book and actually say its a new strategy for their work there.
