This E Class saloon is a fabulous car. Mercedes E Class always has understated elegance which I particularly like. E Class will always be my favourite.

Mercedes are garbage... and their engines aren't "hand built" individually like they claimed to be. Mercedes just cut corners and use cheap fake trims and pass it off as "wood" lol. Anyways I look at Bmw, Audi, and MB as luxury class with their own distinct style. So to say one is superior over the other is really biased because you probably are just a loyal customer to that one brand. But I appreciate the innovations that each of the German companies bring to the industry.

I dont care whether or not merc engine or hand built or not they are good enough as they are. the way i see it is like this BMW if you are a boyracer, Audi if you want fun while driving with the quattro cars and merc if you want comfort and luxury, comfort and status. Trust me most of the doctors, soliciters and bank managers all got a merc.

it just stems from the reputation from the 1990s. back then mercedes overengineed their cars. quality has gone down compared to back then in many ppl's minds, but the image/prestige is there, so you can say its partially good marketing

All the good german cars will always be very popular; but it is officially known, mercedes Benz are incredibly popular amongst those people you mention and many more. I will buy an E Class in time, because I love it's comfort and indeed lovely ride etc etc. My brother loves BMW and has owned and driven them happily for years. It is up to the idividual. E Class will always be No.1 for me for my preferences.

Mercedes has the best production cars in the world, this new E-Class has lines of S-Class, it had total change to its predecessor, Lexus has nothing to do with it, there is no point even comparing the two or any other models in looks/quality than Audi and BMW, Lexus expensive Toyota-waste of money, always had unrealistic dreams to compete with Mercedes, Audi, BMW. I noticed in USA Lexus has high ranking, however its absolute nonsense comparing it to European or prosaically German engineering.

i have a 2005 lexus rx330 with an optional navi system... i love it. it's comfortable and roomy.

i don't think i'll ever to afford an e-class. SO expensive. in 2006 bought my rx330 USED for about $30,000

what is that e-class, about $60,000?

how much would you estimate a 2007 mercedes-benz e350 with additional leather upholstery and a navigation system? it has to have good condition and not more than 15,000 miles or so.

probably $35K or so for a certified pre owned. If you look hard enough you can probably find a 2008, but withoutt the Navigation. Whats wrong with a Garmin or Tom Tom navis. They are easier to use!

They are really good cars and I would recommend them also.But remeber, Audi A6 resale value is somewhat bad. You can pick an 2008 with very little miles just over $32K. BMW is around Mercedes price range. Personally, I would not choose the Audi A6. Its a bit bland to me and considering that I can get either BMW or Mercedes it would not be my pick. Also, my last suggestion is that you buy a certified pre owned vehicle from the Manufacturer. Preowned cars have gone through lots of rigourous tests!
