  • Wow, I love historical books, especially limited editions. I believe in having a good library and references.

  • Can you add a channel for your Dad? I would LOVE to view more videos like this. He mentioned the New Testament of the Bible from 1686. I would give anything to see more of that. It is nearly impossible to find a channel where one can learn true history and with your father having access to authentic books....wow! Do you think he would even consider becoming a YouTube "professor" for those of us wanting to learn? I so hope so! Thanks for showing us this!

  • Hi Tom,

    Very interesting.

I have a copy of Shakespear's Complete works.

It is very old but it has no publishing date.

I wonder, does your dad know if there is any other way to date a book.

The publisher is 'Spring Books of London'

A what point does a book become an antique?

    Many thanks

  • @sweeetly I am away on assignment but I will try to call him and ask for you. I think, though I am not a historian, than after 100 years most objects become antiques. Remember, I am not a historian. Lol.

  • @antiprotons Cool, thank you. I think this book may be that old.

Also, I would like to hear/see an extract from one of your dad's Bible's, just for comparison.

I hope I'm not asking too much Tom. I guess your pretty busy...would be very interesting though..:)

  • very nice books, always liked antiques..your father is historian, whats he think, is usa following the same road as the romans?

  • Wow. :) I love antiques. Thanx for sharing Dad. God Bless and Aloha.
