Mowlana Rumi was born in Balkh and is commonly called Rumi-Balkhi. Balkh= not speaking in Farsi. They spoke Dari. He was not Iranian. Yes there was a Persian Empire, but by todays standards he is an Afghan and therefore a Dari speaker. Fark man.

It's the Sassanian version used in Afghanistan today, not the cheap Azeri language with the v's and the eh's that you guys use today.
