They were not ranked and no one was taking them seriously. By winning, they blasted into the polls and now everyone is talking about them. If UofL looses, it will be just as Vegas called it. If they win, everyone will be saying they are truly worthy of their #4 ranking and are a serious Final Four contender.

Edgar Sosa suffered a Horrible Carrer ending injury the other day. You think his carrer is over? It sucks because hes dominican and im dominican i always wanted to see him play but when i found out about him the college basketball season was coming to an end. I hope he can recover quick & make it to the NBA soon so i can watch him play.

@ukhistorian Yes way they do. UofL has gotten better in EVERY league that they have played in. With Charlie Strong at the helm, they will play for a national championship, mark my words. We were 3 points from playing for a championship in 2008. Had Bush not gotten hurt, we would have hung a football banner. Had Knowles not gotten hurt, we would have probably gotten to the Final Four.

@ukhistorian It almost happened in 2006 with LESS talent. Strong and his staff are bringing in much better talent and look at how they are growing. UK's athletics have seen no where near the amount of success that UofL's has. From soccer, baseball and track and field to women's sports, UofL is heads above anything that UK has experienced. The only thing UK has is basketball. It's a one sport school.

Did you see the teams we beat with what little team we had? You guys had everyone healthy, We had key players out all year, which is what happen when Knowles went down in the NCAA with over 8 minutes remaining in the game. So when you take all that into consideration, our achievements last year were phenomenal.

@ptwillis0727 If our first 8 stayed healthy, we'd have a final 4 team 3 years in a row. We still have Swope and Buckles out. That's a lot of fire power sitting on the bench. If we can get everyone healthy, we're hanging a banner. Last year's NCAA loss was a disappointment but that is bound to happen when you remove your top scorer from the lineup. Think of how many games UK would have lost if John Wall was taken out 8 minutes from the end of the game. That's what happened to us.

@ptwillis0727 The 05 Final Four team was not as talented as the team we have now and look how they achieved. Our T-Will lead team was more talented and they didn't make it to the Final Four, although they were the Big East champs and the NCAA overall #1 seed. @Junkman2000 oh i completely agree although i will say that with the enviornment last night in Bloomington along with the way they were playing IU could've beat anyone in the country and i mean anyone, it was insane. That is still no excuse but it is what it is. I feel way more comfortable in Rupp for obvious reasons. Homecourt, crowd etc. but i dont know the last time i have looked forward this much to the UK UL game due to both programs being back to national prominence. Gonna be a good one!

@OrangeSodaKing UK played an excellent game yesterday. Their defense was tops, their offense stayed within what they do best. It wasn't flashy, they did what needed to be done. This is one time that I can say the better team won and my hat goes off to the clean play. Congrats to UK and their fans.

UK's athletics have seen no where near the amount of success that UofL's has. From soccer, baseball and track and field to women's sports, UofL is heads above anything that UK has experienced. If we can get everyone healthy, we're hanging a banner. Last year's NCAA loss was a disappointment but that is bound to happen when you remove your top scorer from the lineup. Think of how many games UK would have lost if John Wall was taken out 8 minutes from the end of the game. That's what happened to us.

@Junkman2000 oh i completely agree although i will say that with the enviornment last night in Bloomington along with the way they were playing IU could've beat anyone in the country and i mean anyone, it was insane. That is still no excuse but it is what it is. I feel way more comfortable in Rupp for obvious reasons. Homecourt, crowd etc. but i dont know the last time i have looked forward this much to the UK UL game due to both programs being back to national prominence. Gonna be a good one!

During Kentucky's down years (most of the 21st century) Kentucky fans were pretty damn hard to find. When Cal came and you started buying superstar, you started beating your chests.

@OrangeSodaKing UK played an excellent game yesterday. Their defense was tops, their offense stayed within what they do best. It wasn't flashy, they did what needed to be done. This is one time that I can say the better team won and my hat goes off to the clean play. Congrats to UK and their fans.
