I love this song! I remember when I was at church and one of the teachers asked the little kids what the meaning of Christmas was and all but one little girl said "Santa!" She looked at them and said "No. Little baby Jesus is the meaning of Christmas." And she started singing this song!
the story behind this song she was at the mall and a 4 year old asked "Were is ther line to see Jesus"and that inspiered her to right this song.and if you want to know were the line to see Jesus cristans its right behind you.everyone will want to know why do you live so diffrent .and you will say becausei have jesus in my life and they will want to meet him so then you will have A line to seeJesus behind you.Scract out you and put me in the line to see Jesus is behind ME.
What an awesome song. I drive a school bus and a few weeks ago, I asked a 2nd grade girl if she was getting excited about Christmas. She said she was getting excited about Jesus' birthday. Wow!!. Yes, we will see him someday soon. I will be in that line. Merry Christmas everyone.
Ummmmm...Christmas is a Pagan holiday, Jule. The tree, exchanging presents are but
two examples. People need to educate themselves a bit. Jesus was born in the spring
time. Stick to Easter (oh, oops...that's Pagan too....). BUT it is a nice time of year to remember Jesus' teachings of love and kindness. Merry Christmas and Happy Jule, all!!!
Such an awesome song... it really makes me think twice about my stand with Christ... Yes, Santa has given me gifts but where's the line to see Jesus... the one who gave me His life? Peace Be With You All... Happy Holidays!
@2loveme2011 They figure he was born before November but why not celebrate and I agree with you it was a pagan hollliday, why not just go with it. No harm not everybody knows that.
Oh for gods sakes. Let the little children enjoy christmas. I grew up thinking their was a santa claus and I am glad my parents let me believe. No harm done. Non whatsoever. And I believe in Jesus too.

I want to reiterate....it's the video that ticks me off....not the song. The comment 1:43 Totally freaked out is exactly at the spot where this video falls down...the woman (it's the singer, but she's playing a character there), looks back and keeps going past the homeless guys.
This video misses the point! It actually shows the line to see Jesus: the homeless shelter. Christ tells us that at the judgment we will be separated as sheep and goats. The sheep are the ones that fed Christ when they fed the hungry, clothed Him when they clothed the naked, visited Him when they visited the sick and those in prison. The woman in the video walks by with a disturbed look on her face. The song is OK the video is awful. Check out her original version. Much better.
I am a Christian who has never taken her children to wait in line to see Santa and instead has birthday cakes for Jesus at home. We reference Santa as a Barney type of character --- not real. Then, when older, they learn about Saint Nicholas and how the whole idea of Santa came about. I tell them not to tell the other children that Santa isn't real -- that is their parent's job and it's a secret until then.
I'm an a/v producer/director. Vocalist is a very fine song stylist Video focuses 2 much on her attractiveness instead of the birth of Our Savior. Even the Nativity scene seemed a bit trite. Then she's in front, out-staging the choir with body language of a star. One would think, this song was actually put together as a vehicle for the singer. The white outfit and scarf, also distracting. The video lost it's effectiveness for me. Disappointing representation of a beautiful worthwhile message.
I love this song. This should affect everyone that promotes Santa to their kids. I wish parents would quit LYING to their children. Teach them instead about who Jesus is and why He came. And if you have to...teach them about Saint Nicholas. He LOVED Jesus and would be heart broken at what the world has made him. Oh and he's dead. He's with Jesus now. His body is buried in Italy.
One of the most beautiful Christmas songs I've ever heard.
