Is it just me, or has anyone noticed the difference in how approachable Chretien is compared to Harper? I mean, it's night and day. Chretien can laugh at a good joke, but Harper would be threatened by Marg Delahunty. Harper is taking Canada on the wrong path: his dictatorial style and contempt for Parliament is not a measure of Canadian values. I'd take Chretien, or even Martin, over Harper anyday!

I miss Trudeau ... when you think about it, ALL of the new freedoms we have as Canadians were ALL thanks to NON-CONSERVATIVE leaders and governments... gay marriage, pot being almost legalized, not going into iraq, not licking Bush's anus... then along came the downer Harper... I'm an NDP, but I would take a Liberal over Harper ANY day... please, Canada, remember what we stand for as Canadians, remember how happy we were
That WAS so funny. And totaly real imo. I saw the Sarah Palin one also. 22 minutes is such an awesome show...great comedians...well written and very smart people.
@newfiemale25 TRue, Chretien had a good sense of humour, except of course when he was on the ropes over the sponsorship scandal...Even then, he tried to be funny...but was kind of obnoxious over his golf ball episode during the inquiry...The guy had guts... My favourite is how he didn't even react when his communications rep called Bush a moron. That was one of the funniest things for a Canadian, I think. A nice fart in the general direction of George BUsh...

He has a great sense of humour. I think he definately made history even if it was just grabbing that guy by the throat or taking the pie in the face. People will be talking about him for decades.

Rick Mercer is soft on political issues, safe as a seatbelt and his brand of humor is so cheesy and boring. And 22 minutes is so bad and unfunny these days its not even worth talking about. PUT MARY BACK ON TV and that old counter-cultural spirit.
