I guess I am going to repeat the earlier mission and choose to exterminate zerg air and leave the worms alone, I couldn't get past the 95% mark, and I am doing it on normal (I know, I am a n00b).

This is not brutal. The queen of blades died WAY too fast to those tanks. On brutal, she wouldve ripped them all apart and probably wouldnt have even lost 1/4 hp.

And the reason he kills kerrigan so fast is because of the marines. Marines shred Kerrigan. I used them a lot when i did this level on Brutal and never once had a problem with Kerri.

@sairoku It's about 1000x harder if you took out the worms and left the air. Worms are easy to deal with, just siege tank up to cover where they spawn and hunt the distant ones with banshees. No problem. If you left the zerg air alive, you are constantly being assaulted by swarms of mutalisks and brood lords, and a very tough boss spawns at the ~60% mark and begins spawning additional waves of zerg air. Plus the boss has thousands of hp, can shred your air easily, and takes many novas to kill.

@kdwormy You destroyed the nydus network, therefore you get air units. Air units are significantly harder, vikings will be useless when dealing with Kerrigan. If you do the sky mission, the nydus networks can be easily dealt with by 5 banshees cloaked.

just finished this mission 5 mins ago on Hard difficulty, I firgured out an effective strategy (sorry if someone invented it before me, plz let me know). I completely wall-in the 2 doors with 2 Command Centers, they're repaired with lots of SCVs in hold position and some Medics or Medievacs to heal them, the only infantry is the tanks behind, it worked effectly so that only a few were enough, but I wonder if it still works on Brutal difficulty...

@CurlyisKing well it looks like his strategy is based on heavy amounts of siege tanks. and he has that flame tower thingy, so that one you should get. and in the zerg tree, get the slowmo thingy, not the mind controller. also he has the 25% more gas and gas harvests itself. those are the ones i can see. he might have upgraded the medics and marines too, but i don't know. what i do know is the stuff stated above though :) going to give it a try myself now.

I just did this and it works surprisingly well, even on brutal. You just need to get those tanks out fast, particularly in the beginning. I rebuilt the merc compound and used war pigs and siege breakers just to get more out of my supply.

Yeah, if you press load game you should have a file called "The Char Decision" load that and you can re-choose

If it's not there, reload "Gates of Hell Victory"

It is possible to reverse your choice yes. What you do is this - Load up Maw of the void from saved game - since achievements are disabled in a previous version, you need to ABORT (not restart) and allow SC2 to revert to current version, then play the mission by clicking on mission computer. Then finish that mission and despite the next being called 'Belly of the beast' launch it anyway. A cut scene will play giving you the option of nydus or air.

erm... guys... watch the video... ur supposed to use the crystal when the bitch spawns, and then use a force of around 30-40 MARINES to kill her, AWAY FROM UR CANNONS. she can 1 shot what she touches, if she 1shot a marine, WHO CARES, its a fukin marine lol.

and yes, 40 marines kill her as fast as 40 BCs or 40 siege tanks, cause of her armor.

Let me add that I cannot build anything without it dying within 15 seconds. I didn't research siege upgrades to reduce damage to friendly structures and allies. I think that is why I have such an issue with this map.

Using this video as my reference I can only live until 99.9% I tried everything but Kerrigan kills all my marines then my tanks then my other units. Its impossible to win because I can't kill Kerrigan and she kills 200 unit cap in less than 30 seconds. In the video she barely uses her psy storm but in reality she uses it 3-4 times.

Excellent strat, failed on the first try and then immediatly tried again and got it right. Good stuff.

Also did the suggestion diabprimeiro said cuz I didn't have the turrets, good suggestion as well.
