FYI making a real gauntlet out of actual chainmail is really hard. If you're gonna do it, do it right; you have to makethe weave go horizontally (in your video the tabs are vertical) this gives it an authentic look bc that's how actual gauntlets were made. You also have to make fingers out of mail, which is the hardest part of the gauntlet...
@poiopop im aware of all of this. thank you for your input, but like i said in the description, this is a proof of concept. since this video i have acquired actual rings and have made a chainmail glove. as cool as that it, it is below my expectations.
at this point im going to go buy some thick sheet metal from lowes or something and make plates for the gauntlets. chainmail just doesnt do what i need it to do for gauntlets.
