@MissRainbowPocky You have to make a "crafting bench" go to your inventory and fill your crafting space out with planks then you get a crafting bench you can place down like any other block. And then right click on the crafting bench

You don't have to use pumpkins, but I do in order to light up everything so mobs do not spawn when you sleep.

Texture packs need to be updated, if you are using one.

You can use any texture pack, but the icons and textures for beds were not added into customized textures, so you need to copy and paste the area of the default texture pack that contains a skin for the beds, and an icon, and paste them (with the same dimensions) into your custom texture pack. You can just draw your own texture straight into the custom texture pack files, but you need to draw in the same area as the original texture pack.
