  • PLEASE!!!!! I have a red one and u have a purple one I want a purple can we switch????

  • @xxn3gativ3xx Funny! I'm not really into red but thanks for offering.

Something that I didn't know about this camera and wasn't in the owners manual: There's a little, rectangular, black button inside the bottom cover on this camera (above the memory card). It's a "reset" button for the camera. If this camera won't start upon pushing the camera's power button; depress the reset button and then power up the camera using the power button. Works every time so long as the battery is charged.

  • Nice video. Do you think this model would hold up to recording for a couple of hours at a time? I am thinking of getting this camera to replace my Kodak Zi6 for recording local government meetings. I've been posting the videos on my youtibe account under the username thunderpigblog.

  • @ThunderPigRemixes Hi ThunderPig.

I don't think the battery will go for 2 hours straight.

I use a 4 gig memory card in mine and that gives you about 60 minutes of video. I've recorded a full hour of video on one charge but I doubt it would do much more than that. The rechargeable battery doesn't come out so there's no way to upgrade or replace it.

  • I like your videos, I sw the video you made on making camera mounts . I was wondering how you made the bicycle mount for your zm2 kodak camera?

  • @farmerrooster I made the holder for the camera from a piece of PVC pipe. I cut the pipe leaving a "tab" sticking down and then heated the pipe with a heat gun to soften it. I then put a flat block of wood (the size of the camera) inside the pipe to hold the pipe to the right shape/size until the pipe cooled. Then I heated the "tab" with the heat gun and floded it over to form a place to drill and tap a hole for the threaded mount head. I have a knife sheath video that demonstrates this process.

  • Hey, that's a good find. Now to find one for myself

  • @oregonmikes Hi Mike. I thought you had a waterproof camera already?

Well anyway. Walmart has these in blister packs hanging up with the less expensive cameras. Not certain if you have a Big Lots up in Oregon.

  • My Dad's buddy at work just bought one and he loves it. I'm using an old Kodak flip and it's not too good. I need an upgrade and I can do some chores and get one of these.

  • wow. what is with all the dead fish? that is sad.

--- thanks for sharing your new camera that was a nice find. :O )

  • @babaloo42 The dead fish are a result of a toxin released by K. Brevis organism (Red Tide) algae bloom.

In the last week the local health dept. has declared several public beaches in Southwest Florida to have high bacteria counts. Recent heavy rains or maybe even a sewage spill somewhere has created a travelling algae bloom which is a food source for K.Brevis algae which causes it to multiply into a roving undersea cloud of death in the nearshore Gulf of Mexico. The longer it lasts....

  • @CrypticCRICKET didn't they notice this last year? i thought i saw some vids of oceanographers saying this algae is going to multiply and could kill most of the sea-life in that area and beyond. if im not mistaken it was caused by corexic. while corexic breaks down the OIL it gives life to anaerobic creatures and they spread. i wish i knew the source. so do not quote me. i would have to study that. sorry for all those fishes and others we have lost this year with all the birds and MORE animals

  • @babaloo42 We didn't have any red tide blooms last year that killed fish. It's been about five years since we've had Fish kills as a result of red tides. Prior to that it was unusually bad for several years. IMO the long healthy spell is due in large part to new laws about using fertilizers during the rainy season, upgrades to aging sewer systems along the coast, and changes to Southwest Florida Water Management District's water management practices.

No idea if Corexic has a role here.

  • @CrypticCRICKET yes there are a lot of factors that contribute to these poor animal deaths. Onterio canada is facing this very issue right now and 6000 birds are on there shores dead and dyeing. they say its from bacteria in the water that contaminated fish and the birds ate these fish. what a cycle. :O (
