  • Oooooh when she said bow string I thought she meant for hunting.

  • How long would it actually take to make the bowstring? The bow? Im writing a book and researching bows cuz i have an archer in it.

  • @brightstump i did it slowly so it would be easier to see but it would only take about 2 hours to make a bow string. The bow would take a few days if you did it all by hand with no machines.

  • Gracias, for you video is being very helpful thanks.

  • sorry i must have missed it in the video, how do you make it longer?

  • @ThOutRider2 It is in the video. There are 2 videos, watch them both. I can't really explain it. You need to see it. Basically you just splice in new strips as you go. Kind of like a french braid.

  • @MayeuxMinistries thanks for explaining it to me.

  • Your eyes are mesmerizing.. Your so awesome. I wish all chicks were like you. :)

  • @physicsmusico aww, thank you. That's very sweet of you to say. :)

  • For the twist, can you role the strands tightly down your leg with your palms? Being that they are twisted the same direction, & then allowing the one end to coil?

  • @L2FlyMN if your in a hurry you can but I don't think the rope would have any real strength or stay wound very long. The strength of your rope depends greatly on how tightly the fibers are wound. If you can develop a technique for getting it nice and tight that way then it might work. One thing about working with natural materials, they are free so it doesn't hurt to try.

  • @L2FlyMN There are several vid's that show that version and the majority of those people suggest not doing it until you have a lot of experience at making cordage. From all the cordage video's i have seen This is actually the first one to twist with both hands. Most of the Video's show the person holding the cord end and twisting the PAIR in the opposite direction. She is doing basically that BUT by using the holding hand she actually twists towards herself for all the twists and Loops away.

  • that will help me alot :D
