  • @Kamyu03 i agree XD

  • Queen songs always manage to make me feel happy and hopeful.

  • This was always a favorite of mine. Many of my friends would cringe on songs like this. It just shows what an amazing variety of writing ability Freddie had. My all time favorite singer for almost forty years now. Freddie lives in his music.

  • Frankly, the brass & woodwind in this song sound more like kazoos. Kazoos are amazing.

  • whenever youve had a bad day listen to queen and everythings gone saves you a shrink!!

  • if I ever had a wedding, it would be a "Seaside Rendezvous" theme, with this song being the pinnacle

  • Ewww................Eh I want mean Awww.....

  • @sammmiii13 influenced by ragtime and vaudeville in the late 1800, and early 1900 :) These are some of the tunes, as Brian and Roger said, that influenced them a lot. I was so curious, that I went on to listen to Dixieland jazz band and Alexander's Ragtime band,( to go back to the roots u know ..) and it was very pleasurable :))

  • @grecasophia Amazing how they can influence you to get back to the music, love it <3

  • May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is particularly keen on this track.

  • SIMPLY BRILLIANT.Freddie Mercury had the most purely perfect voice I have ever heard.Amazing song writer, he designed Queens logo.chose their name in part because it is regal and absolute.he was the Greatest Frontman EVER.was loyal to his friends shy and sweet in his private life.he was part of something so rare Queen .Brian May guitar master Roger Taylor extrodonary drummer John Deacon fantastic bass I was lucky saw them in concert '77 and'78 nothing like them.will always miss Freddie

  • Freddie has the best voice I've ever heard .

  • KAZOO SOLO!!!!! :D

  • Damn this bassline is fun to play! I think it'll have to be my next Youtube video my lovelies!

  • 2 words:

    HAHA

    and

    WTF?

  • Seaside Rendevous......Give us a kiss. I feel kissed passionately every time I hear a song by Queen.......Yah...Freddie..but you guys made it the best music! You are the fucking best...You and Beatles....Up[ there with Beatles ain't so bad...LOVE YOU ALL!

  • IF ANYONE TRIES TO COVER THIS SONG, THEY'LL SEE THE FIERCE SPANK OF MY SPATULA.

  • @illovedinkiwinky Love your attitude... Seaside Rendevous is just timeless and gives me rushes in my head! LOve to all Queen Fans.............They move me so much it's hard to move from listening into real life...Seriousllly. You rock my fucking shoes off!

  • @illovedinkiwinky The King's Singers did lol.

  • OMG I can't believe i never listened this song before!:|

  • Yep, that's definitely one of the most silliest tunes from Queen. Still, most of today's performers would give their left arm to come up with something so creatively funny and technically well done. Besides, we're talking about Queen here. They knew what they were doing as, just an example, The Beatles knew what they were doing while they were recording Yellow Submarine. It's not like we're talking about some mindless backstreet boys' wannabe. Thumbs up.

  • The section is performed entirely by Mercury and Taylor using their voices alone. Mercury imitates woodwind instruments including a clarinet and Taylor mostly brass instruments, including tubas and trumpets, and even a kazoo. The tap dance segment is also "performed" by Mercury and Taylor on the mixing desk with thimbles on their fingers. Mercury plays both grand piano and jangle honky-tonk <-- WHAT LEGENDS <3

  • @MrQueenEMMA You know that because of A making of a night at the opera the DVD right?

  • @guidobertisch2 yeah i mean i just coppied and pasted what was said on wikipeadia, and just apprecaiting the sheer brillance of it

  • ¿Qué canción se parece a ésta? :)

  • The happiest song by queen it cusses!

  • I love this song. Thanks for putting it up on here.

One query about this song, I thought it came at the end of Side 1 of the "A Night At The opera" album but on the cassette copy that I have it appears more in the middle. Was the tracklisting changed between formats?

  • @Meanmanmartin2007 I think so because of space.

  • @paddyjack9 Thanks for confirming that.

Regardless of saving space, the tracklisting for an album was probably planned that way for a good reason, and shouldn't be messed with.

  • my goody golly

Freddie makes me forget that thing Bieber even exists at all

  • 7 dislikes? I mean how could this be unappealing to any humans ear? Queen is just the greatest

  • @Spartiakid

Those are probably the people who complained about his funeral on Zanzibar.

  • Who dare dislike Queen?!?!?

  • i cant listen to this after body language.....is almost like there is 2 different freddie.....schoolboy freddie or rock and roller freddie

  • @classylady1124 Freddie, at the time Body Language came out, had had his thick mustache for two years. This song predates his mustache by five years.

  • @cparkes92 exactly

  • i don't like this song, because i looooooooooooove it!!!!!!!

  • my fav song to sing in the shower lol

  • Looks like they had fun when making that song.

  • @BITNABITaccount So cool! That would be awesome to see! Hope you guys had fun with it. :)

  • and this is the same band that wrote "Ogre Battle" and "Stone Cold Crazy" one year before?? THAT you will never see again. Queen is BY FAR the greatest band of all time.

  • @aarojasf yes its the same band

  • I just love how Freddie sings " I love you madly" it´s chilling. I love that fake sax solo by Roger and Freddie XD So original, Queen are genious.

  • @TheJumpyPopcorn " I love you madly" is my fave part too :))

  • Queen's "Seaside Rendezvous" was another one of Freddie Mercury's ingenious accomplishments in music writing. A trumpet, clarinet, kazoo, and tubas helped create a "Your Hit Parade" moment from the swingin' '40s. The tap dance segment was performed by Freddie and Roger on the mixing desk with thimbles on their fingers, but then again, that was "Freddie" ... I mean, were there any limits to this man's extravagant abilities and genius?

  • @70sPopRock

    No, there weren't.

  • Comment removed

  • God Bless them all. GENIUS! TRUE MUSIC.

  • I do really love this song :D happiness explained!

  • Ahhh! I could lisen to this song all day!

  • :] such an amazing song! I wish i was there in the 70's T.T

  • great! nothing else to say :)

  • This is essentially what a lot of Broadway music REALLY sounds like (Ginger Rogers, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly etc.) once the poor-media-quality factor of old recordings is removed. Still faggy, but not so _boring_ after all!

  • troppo carina questa canzone. la voce di freddie come sempre è superlativa. mi incanta ascoltarlo

  • The Best band ever!!

  • amazing, amazing, amazing and....o,yeah AMAZING!!!!!! its so good composed

  • What a damn jolly good idea a a a a a a a! I love that line! So English!

  • This is a song that i could "Bop" to. ^_^

  • Anyone else feel like his belongs on a commercial?

  • @omega4104 heaven's no! It would kill this song if that ever happened. :(

  • awsome song the best one

  • Underneath the moonlight,

together we'll sail across the sea

    reminiscing every night...

  • I think of the old ride "Laff In The Dark" at the now closed down Crystal Beach Park in Canada.

  • This song never fails to put a smile on my face. No one sings this like Freddie. NO ONE.

  • @PockyBebop I agree with you, Freddie is irreplaceable, there's no such voice as his.

  • i just love this song so much! its very dandy :P

  • Haha exactly the word! :D

  • Parts of this remind me of Steamboat Willie...
