I think this scientist would be more than interested to see my first uploaded video "Witness a miracle.". I swear the footage is absolutely genuine. It is best seen full screen and the key moment to pay attention would be as soon as the film comes into focus. I have personal evidence which may support his theories. If it hadn't had this first had evidence I may doubt it my self, but I swear on all that is good and innocent in this world that it is true. This is only one small example of many.
This whole show is just a series of experiments failing and them desperately attempting show it in the best light. It's pretty funny, especially with the odd anti-science angle that permeates throughout.
@alexkidd3d Its as if everyone is indoctrinating each other since childhood too believe in the comfort of maybe something else apart from normality, like the afterlife and anything that may support this,it even seems as though its a taboo too deny there is nothing happening at all.
Statistically significant with only 12 trials?????????? Are you kidding me? Try 240, and I ensure you he won't get more than a 17% success rate. At least he acknowledges the extreme limitations of this improvised experiment.
As an avid outdoors man I understand this as being "in tune" with my surroundings. Whether hunting or fishing my success rate is directly proportional to the amount of time I have been spending in the outdoors.
fucking energy field bullshit. can it quantatative of qualitativly described? nope. therefore not fuckign real. none of these theories are accepted for reason just like why god is not considered real. cuz there is no basis for evedence
What I find really annoying is the obvious bias of the narrator... Why were the results "disappointing"? Clearly there were some above chance level results there, not proving, but indicating that there might be something to Sheldrake's theories. And why does he say "I doubt scientific establishment will ever believe him"... He's just been given a grant for research by that very scientific establishment. Mr Benstock is so closed minded it boggles the (open) mind. Seriously...
I'm a huge sceptic about this kind of thing, but at the same time, I'm glad that some people see that even things that most would dismiss as ridiculous need to be tested and peer reviewed. This way, when things get scientifically refuted, less people will be misguided. On the other hand, if it were found to be true, it would be on a par with discovering the Earth is round all over again.
Please help me someone...I thought that in science, the chance level was 1/2 (i.e 6 out of 12)...he said that the chance level is 2 (2 out of 12)...is this right?
i've been doin tai chi chuan for the past 10 years an the human body dose give off a kinda ora! you can feel someones heat or ora arround them if you train in senseativity/you can feel. Its hard to disscribe the sense you feel but its deffo there.
YouTube search "ted Ramachandran". Its a TED talk (Tech Entertainment Design) by consciousness researcher Ramachandran who has remedied phantom limb sensations using a mirror. It is in the brain.
of course it's in the brain, as all our 5 senses are.
but Sheldrake's research shows that the brains could be somehow connected, or maybe they act kinda like a TV set receiving counsciousness as the broadcast.
Thanks so much for posting this. I have been very interested in Dr. Sheldrake's work, and it's really good to actually be able to see some of the experiments that I've read about.

Terrible experiments here by Sheldrake. Ramachandran has a vastly superior experimental process with phantom limbs.

sheldrake's poor methodology and bias is the epitome of bad science.

"I just wasn't able to-" and the excuses start...
would've loved to see the second test repeated, see if he could get just 3 or 4 right

Chance level would be 1 out of 2 if there were only 2 options.
As there are 6 options, it's 1 out of 6 and since it was repeated 12 times, it becomes 2 out of 12.

yes because there are 1 in 6 choices on each experiment.
