Man that team should have won a championship. Aaron Miles, Kirk Hinrich, Nick Collison, Drew Gooden, Wayne Simien, Keith Langford, Jeff Boschee, Michael Lee...so many NBA players on there.
PERFECT form on the J.... exactly how coaches teach you to shoot. His fundamentals are flawless. Watch his defensive posture when he plays. Man I hope the Bulls don't trade him, he is an excellent combo guard able to play the 1 or 2 with equal efficiency. Also his crossover is vicious! #12 BABY!!! Give it up for Captain Kirk!
Everyone else is quick and big now. The NBA is a completely different world compared to college. How many tens of thousands of guys play college basketball? Including inactive reserves and free agents, there's only about 400 NBA players.
I don't know about anyone else, but I've been a die hard Kansas fan my whole life and Captain Kirk incoporated everything that Kansas basketball is about
Kirk is my favorite post-Jordan Bull. The Bulls are so lucky to have two incredible point guards with no ego-tension between the players. It is an enomous advantage to have. Imagine trying to chase D-Rose around to stop him from scoring...and then your reward is to see Kirk get in your face with that smothering defense each time you try to make a play. These two guys will make each other better every day in practice. Chicago should keep them both, a legit post player is all the Bulls need now.
Im a huge bulls fan i know he was not wasted on the bulls b/c he had one bad season this year b/c his thumb injury he lead them to the playoffs three years in a row 05 06 07 averaging bout 14ppg and 6apg and was selected to team usa in 06 winter olympics the bulls coaching made a bad call when they starded Gordon & Salmons over him but if he returns this year which i hope he would he is most likely to start again. And the Suns have Nash and he fits better in the East anyway west PGs are BEAST.
Well, the East has Devin Harris, Rajon Rondo, Hinrich and a rising star PG in Derrick Rose.
But I see what you're saying.. the West does have CP3, Deron Williams, Nash and Kidd. (albeit the last two are aging and are probably very close to retirement)
Chicago is the right place for him he plays like a East PG dont score 18-20 ppg with 8-9 apg not really a run and gun PG but he fits perfect with Chicago the only prob is with D Rose now his play time would drop. And if he played in Golden State he would see the playoffs best place 4 him other than Chicago b/c he avg over 5 years 14ppg and 6apg would be with Cleveland or Miami btw he played with Lebron and Wade in winter olympic games.
i kinda feel like kirk has been outta place the past 2 years,he gained 15-20 pounds over that span and i think his offence has suffered from it he has to loose some lbs and get back to basics,he is still young
Even tho I'm a diehard Wildcat fan. This guy was my favorite Jayhawk of all time. I remember watching him play at Kansas. He was my favorite player. He was so nasty when he was a Jayhawk. Hopefully, he can regain his confidence and play like the old Kirk next year for my Bulls.
Man, i really wish hinrich play like this, screw you, he doesn't suck, one bad season, he better pick up the slack or else hes gonna be Derrick Roses Shadow.
it seriously pisses me off that he doesnt play like this in the nba. i almost forgot that he used to be fast... and could dunk. he could be really good in the nba if he played like this. anybody agree with me?
I cant say I agree with you. For starters, Hinrich is fast and can dunk, but its harder to run the court and to dunk in the NBA, than it is in college. You have to remember, that every player in the NBA was a star in college, so every game hes playing against the best of the best, unlike when he was at Kansas. Also the style of play is different in the NBA than it is in college.
i see what ur saying, but hes had chances to throw it down and he just doesn't dunk anymore. i havent seen him dunk in like 4 years. he plays way too conservative now.
Nice ass music. What song is this? And why doesn't Hinrich DUNK anymore??!?! (aside from the 2 dunks he's had in his NBA career). It doesn't seem like it's fun for him anymore. Can anyone find out why he's not dunking??? Jumping around having fun??
He's probably doing it to conserve energy. Plus, I would bet his layup has a higher percentage of going in than a dunk against some taller, stronger competition.
he's actually one of the best defenders at his position. due to the bulls' lack of big shooting guards (before hughes came, and thabo is only starting to blossom), he was assigned to defend bigger and stronger guards.
he'll get beat at times, but he'll keep on hustling cos its best for the team
Wow i loved this guy with this team, hinrich, langford, miles, boshe, graves, collison, lee, semien(sp), and roy williams, ever since those guys left, i pretty much hate them, even though ill accept the fact that there good, and im a ksu fan now.
Kirk Hindrich plays point guard with the bulls. So he isn't looking to score and slash to the basket and score. He'd look so much better if he started doing those things in the NBA. He needs to start taking notes from Steve Nash.
1:06 on the video is one of my favorite parts. When you watch the One Great Ride video, on that clip you hear Brad Armstrong say of Hinrich, "Some people don't think Kirk Hinrich is that fast. He's fast."
This team should have won the national championship.
