@Motorfordtoyota easier than doing this swap from a 4cyl haha! seriously. you dont have to move motor mounts, or swap transmission or anything. wiring is pretty much the only thing you gotta deal with, and even then, its not so bad.
@Motorfordtoyota well, the space and time part isnt a huge deal... if you had a buddy come over and give you a hand, you could be done the swap in probably 3 or 4 days. i did it all myself in about a week if i remember correctly :)
Sweet project. I wonder how hard it would be to do this swap to my 88 4runner v6!

@analog56x yeah, a 4.7 should fit. But if I would use the UZ family v8s, I would use the 4.0 VVTi (1uz-fe) 300 hp 310 ft lbs!!
