1.follow right hand of piano.

2.alto fingerings

3.recommended: slow daily chromatic scales while keeping stable blowing and with less finger's pressure possible (otherwise pain!)

It is hard....I agree about the objective sounding problems of the instrument. This time they are mostly due to the church like acoustics (a synagogue...)

@kropchik @mynameizcasanova2 Unfortunately I s'pose listening to You Tube makes a instrument judged? Recorder does NOT record well as it has a whistly sound. I've played recorder for years...... and as bias as I am, it's a beautiful instrument.

I recommend looking into better recordings and look up other recorder types (like tenor recorder) where you can experience some real recorder music.... chamber orchestra will often employ a recorder as well which sounds good.

When is he taking in air? So many fast notes dont give any space for breathing. Could it be air in through the nose while blowing with the mouth?

That is called circular breathing. He isn't doing that, It looks like he's getting some very quick breaths in.

it isn't exactly easy to do circular breathing on a recorder, it's a bit like influating your cheeks while screaming.
