yes kids, for those of you who grew up after this game came out and missed this as a child, your eyes weren't playing tricks on you. Turok 2 had a gun that shot a homing drill into an enemy's head, sucked out their brain, then exploded. you can try to play that off with a sniper rifle from your CoD's and BF's, but your really just kidding yourself.

one of the most gross weapons ever made i came close to building something similar never got it to work though still on drwing board its suppose to work by locking on to brain wave activity then fires a bore like cup essentially fly at its target and land on the head it then starts up a drill in the middle of the bore pushing blood and brain matter out the back end finally exploding due to overheating taking the head off fantastic game 10/10

here there is blood and no head. in germany. no blood and the head stays on. and no drilling or anything. and if you shoot an enemy theres no blood. just a tiny little blue explosion. i think i´m going to kill myself

In the German version of the game, all the gore was cut, so the animation was replaced with an explosion hurling the target in the air.

As "cerebral bore" would make sense with that animation, the weapon was also renamed into a rather bland homing cannon.

Always wondered what the point of that weapon was, as it's so terribly impractical to use. Ten years later, I know

I'm not a big fan of Turok 3 though. I didn't like the weapons in that one. They just weren't as fun to use.

I have the first Turok but my 3rd party controller pak keeps on loosing my data!! I beat level 1,2,3, and 5 and I was on level 4 :( That's the 3rd time it's lost all of my data

It may not be because your controller pak is third party, it may just be old.

Unless you're using one of those massive memory cards which are nothing but trouble regardless of what system they're on.

Is it one of those massive ones? I just stick to the regular memory cards for the most part. I have a few multiple page memory cards for the N64, but I also have some regular sized third party ones. I've never had any problems with the regular sized ones.

Luckily it's only a problem with a few n64 games, because most of them save on the cart. Turok, is one of the biggest exceptions though.

I don't know if you'd call it massive, but it's about 2 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch tall. I only use it for Turok because it's the only one that I have that needs a controller pak

Greatest weapon in videogame history, FACT.

Damn shame the rest of the Turok games failed to match the first two's greatness, and they decided to fuck with the cerebral bore. ALthough Turok 3 actually improved on it, it allowed you to instead of just drilling out the brain matter, you could take control of your enemy for a few seconds before their head exploded. So badass.

Turok & Turok 2 are 2 of the greatest games of all time. Incredible stuff. AMAZING weapons all around in T2.
