I had been looking for the original version of this song since I started at Williams-Sonoma's phone center a few years ago. I fell in love with the lyrics and the simpleness of the music. It's one of our hold music songs when you're on hold waiting for us. Madeleine sounds as close to Billy Holiday as we can get without digging her up and propping her up to a mike.

When I first heard her I thought the same thing. My mom was a huge fan of Billie Holiday and I had her listen to her Careless Love CD that this is from and her response was "It's about time you started listening to good music."
