That amount of gold for an afternoon of digging is actually very good.. and if you go back through your cons again very slowly you would probably find maybe another tenth of a gram or so in powder fine gold... 50-100 mesh in size.
Well, I never actually dried & weighed it. If I had to guess maybe 1/4 to 1/3rd gram. 15.43 grains to a gram X 1/4 = 3.86 grains. With gold at $1,800 a Troy ounce divided by 480 grains per Troy ounce = $3.75 a grain x 3.86 grains = $14.48 at spot price. Maybe it was a little more... However, for the fun, outdoor time & "Gold Adventure"........PRICELESS! Randy "C-17A" triple w (dot goldadventures (dot) biz
Not a lot by weight, but really pretty and very butter yellow as Colorado gold goes. Guess it's been in Clear Creek for eons, slowly washing down stream from up near Idaho Springs & Central City...maybe 25 miles up the creek.

Great gold! What a find! The amount of work I would have to do find flour gold at best would monumental, that is what I get for living in Michigan.
