  • Very nice ! I have this record !

  • i like it. Good memories

  • Yeeep! i'm 14 years old and i love the Carpenters! <33 i have been listening them when i was like 8 or 9 years old! and i'm still love their songs:)

  • but Didn't They Step UP out of Lawrence Welk!

  • what a beautiful voice. she had. i was listening to her when i was in grade school ;and still do today. i am in my 50s and i still listen to her songs today.. you never get tired off her voice.the best ever.

  • Such a beautiful voice, such a tragedy she died. She has been singing in our hearts ever since. Her illness may have taken her body away, but her voice and spirit still stays within us.

  • OH MY GOD. MY DAD HAS BEEN SINGING THIS SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL!

  • I was in Vietnam from 1967-1968. Once evening while in base camp a small USO singing group came though and performed several songs. The very last one they sang was this song and it was done by the groups female vocalist - a very attractive blond haired girl. I am telling you that at the end of this song......you could have heard a pin drop in that crowd of hundreds of GIs that had surrounded that small stage. For some reason.....I have always remembered that one evening.

  • @amanda59266 brilliant, thanks for sharing your memory. glad you made it back from the 'Nam in one piece.

  • One of the best voices ever.

  • A very beautiful song!!!! Thank you very much!!!! Long life to Carpenters!!!!

  • very nice voice ... really miss her .... RIP Karen ..

  • In the 70's, I used to sit up late at night listening to their great music. I love the Beatles. But I love(The)Carpenters much more. Because their music touches my heart much more. They've been bringing us Japanese warmth and happiness and peaceful time. Even now, they are very famous in Japan. Thank you, thank you very much. With love from Japan. I believe that music can help us share our feelings.

  • @jinkura2011 Domo arigato!

  • @jinkura2011 どうもありがとうございました .Thank you from Catalonia (iberian peninsula)

  • Good song

  • Simply superb!

  • I'm already 19 and the only songs I ever listen to nowadays are either from the '80s, '70s or '60s. The majority of today's music can never compare to the masterpieces' of the past.

  • TIMELESS & PRICELESS CLASSIC!

  • Originally sung by the Herman's Hermit, this is such a beautiful song ! Both versions are great.

  • Why you had to die so young, Karen? Why?! Why?! Why?!

I am literally crying as I write this. So wonderful memories your songs bring to me. . .

    Why? Why?! Why?!

  • @MrAGBrito1 Do not feel sad. Karen brought this gift to us from god (if you believe) to full fill our souls. Karen is in peace now and her music brings us peace and happiness. I use to feel the same way as you but eventually you will heal in a good way.

  • @MrAGBrito1 You're not alone. Her voice melts my heart.

  • My god. I'm 16 but I used to listen to this song so much with my mom when I was really little. I forgot about it and heard it on the radio. Now, when I hear it I just feel...calm.

  • @WisegirlCoyote You feel good my dear because you are listening to the greatest ever female pop singer. No one comes close to Karen's talent for putting warmth and grace into a song. Irreplaceable and perfect. The ultimate singing talent in popular music.

  • I'm high and i came here for hush...

  • @johnposnaidis LOLZ :)

  • omg your voice were .......amazing...

  • love this song

  • You can hear the smile in Karen's voice!

  • Beautiful music ... like an angel singing.

  • She certaily was an Angel, that sang like a Bird<3

  • wszystkie piosenki wracają do mnie:) i wspomnienia tamtych lat:)

  • Wow!!!!! superb song

  • oh so beutiful song..........

  • I heard the original song yesterday and I remembered Richard said he didn't like this one because he liked the original better...umm...Richard, sweetie, this is a 1,000 times much better than the original. I mean the arrangements, and the voice, how can any remake they do be wrong?

  • @bsbncandey both versions are beautiful

  • Sounds like my family except my cat treats me like a milk machine rather than her owner.

  • There's a kind of Hush!!!!!!! Damn what happened to the World!

  • What music have we been denied because of her death? We still miss and wish...........and I have to believe that Richard Carpenter has never recovered from his sister's passing-he hasn't made new music in years.....what a loss he's suffered, in so very many ways. It's a godsend for all of us, and I hope especially for him, that youtube has provided so many posts and allowed so much love to be expressed- any time we praise her voice, we're following Richard's arrangements, and I say Thank You.

  • @MrSuzuki650 Well, I guess that will dispel the rumor that he's gay, anyway. I'm sure most of the pablum-sucking public would rather hear your version of the tragedy. Have fun fielding the replies!

  • @MrSuzuki650 The whole Carpenter family was strange, from what I read in biographies. The mother was tough as nails, the dad was a pushover, and Richard and Karen's relationship is kind of hard to make out. To some degree, Richard did want to 'keep it in the family', since he married and had kids with his cousin. But i've also seen recent interviews in which Richard doesn't even think of Karen as his sister, but as a 'business partner'. That in itself is really sad and mysterious.

  • @MrSuzuki650 You're a nasty, ugly idiot. " Really true fact " ... God, I hope Richard Carpenter and his lawyers see your despicable post........YOU FILTHY-MINDED PIECE OF WASTE..........by the way, you dumb piece of nothing.......the word is THEIR, not THERE.......you nasty, horrid creature. Maybe you don't have a sister; I feel certain you don't have a rational fold in your ugly brain.

  • how/why did Karen died?

  • LINDO TEMA. Reminds me of a difficult process that beats.

  • The Carpenters, Karen and Richard brought us beautiful music that were second to none!

  • i am only 13 but i have been listening to song since i was 9 that proves no matter if you are old or young everyone loves her voice

  • @mwmatthewkc51 I hear ya.

Im 13 to. And all my friends make fun of me for listening to this kind of music.

Eh, but I dont care. I know what good music is.

  • @elvis4ever1935 good for you don t pay them atention

  • @elvis4ever1935 I agree

  • @mwmatthewkc51 me too i'm only 13 and i love this song!

  • @carlisS0608 yeah!

  • @mwmatthewkc51 I'm 13 too! I agree with you. I started listening to this song a bit later than you did, I started at ten.

  • "The only sound that you will hear / is when I whisper in your rear..." Wow, Karen was into some serious kink.

  • so sad when she died. we lost a angel and god got one. she was such a good singer. I love this song. It is happy and up lifting.

  • who would dislike this? lol

  • Absolutely fantastic. Karen Carpenter is the best female singer in pop music history.

  • Karen is a nice singer but Lena Zavaroni is still my No:1

  • i grew up listening to them EVERY single day.I know every word to every song...i had forgotten how much i loved it!now i am hooked again...

  • This song makes so happy ! Thanks for sharing , it brings back such great memories !

  • Anorexia not Bulimia

  • She saved me many times------ from suicide

  • @bijuvee123 What happened... You jumped from a building and landed in a vat of her bulimia vomit?

  • @Loobs666 I laughed then felt bad.

  • was she saved?

  • Believe our father in heaven is listening to angel-voice now

  • Back in 1981 i was in school, 5th grade, and i still do not know why in my school there was not a bell. So, they set up three or four big speakers in the ceiling. When a melody was played through them, we knew it was time for break or time to go home. They usually played "There's a kind of hush" ... :)

  • never was a big fan of soft rock, but these guys should be in the rock and roll hall of fame.they dominated the airwaves in the early 1970's with their pretty ballads- and karen carpenter can sing 'em so fine. and soft rock is still rock-. gotta throw a shout out to u-tube for enlightening me by keeping these songs alive.

  • My English teacher plays this song, every Friday - 5th period :)

  • Hers has to be the most pitch perfect voice ever recorded.Absolutely beautiful.RIP Karen. You sing with the angels now.

  • @sallymaggiespotty She teaches angels how to sing.

  • I'd rather listen to their (Carpenters) music rather than the songs of today. This is great music ;)

  • I love this song. She sings very well.

  • Love love Karen, grew-up in the 70's wanted to be like Karen. Still breaks my heart to know she is not with us. Thank God for records.

  • this is my fav carpenter title coz her angelic voice is God-given, perhaps He has better plans for her and promoted her to His Kingdom in 1983...so lets Rejoice!!!

  • I miss karen so much, I really wish she where still around with her southing voice. shes a nr 1

  • Every time when I hear that song, I can remember my daughters when they were a kids because they like so much, even my daughters used to be sing that song

  • excelente letra y melodia

  • My aunt played an 8-track cassette of the Carpenter's when we went to see family in Iowa--good music, good memories.

  • was listening to the monkees birds and bees album earlier and the song called the poster jogged my mind and i kept thinking this reminds me of some other song i've heard before.. kept humming the melody to myself and eventually it came to me - sounds a lot like there's a kind of hush! funny as both the monkees the poster and herman's hermits songs were popular in the late '60s and the two songs sound very similar. i used to have this on 45 but it was the carpenters version as i love her voice.

  • amazing music....

  • @andrewkacio angels don t die

  • I remember when i heard about her death saying.....

"Oh my God...an Angel died !!!"

Now she's Up there singing with the other Angels !!!

    May she R.I.P.

  • @vangelisgp46 , so your god decided "this woman is very good for humans, feel good music, calming, serene, peacefull, I think I'll F with them and kill her, no more feel good for you A holes".. really? what a nice god you have, in reality shit happens, we live we die, that simple

  • @vangelisgp46 Don't forget how she died. She did it to herself.

  • @matrixate you should hope it never happens to you! it is a sickness

  • What a magical voice she had, great cover of a classic song! Her voice will be unmatched for eternity and beyond.

  • who the fuck can dislike this video, curse them!!!

  • Oh god my mother used to sing this to me.. in an incredibly booming voice that doesnt quite sound as nice as this lol

  • their eyes are saying "get me out of here"i love these.look at photo.

  • what a beautiful song.. :D

  • @Sidane1....ELLA SIGUE A TU LADO PORQUE LA LLEVAS DENTRO DE TU CORAZON...ELLA VIGILA,ALUMBRA TUS DIAS, Y ES FARO DE GUIA Y PROTECCION PARA TUS NIETOS...PARA TI!!...ELLA ESTA Y SIGUE CONTENTA POR EL AMOR, QUE LE BRINDAS,Y QUE LE VENERAS ATRAVES DEL TIEMPO,QUE PARA ELLA YA SE DETUVO...ALGUN DIA LA LUZ DE DIOS TAMBIEN TE ALUMBRARA,Y ESTARAS JUNTO A ELLA...PORQUE LOS VEDADEROS,SINCEROS Y GRANDES AMORES ,NO MUERE,SOLO SE SEPARAN!!1..RECIBE MI FRATERNO ABRAZO....DIOS TE BENDIGA MI AMIGO!!..

  • comon guys, lets not compare other singers with Karen, the singers of today have a talent of todays expectations. karen carpenters voice is exceptional and one of a kind. a treasure of memories of yester years. personally i dont think other singers voice has such an effect. Agree with you Sweetsesatia.

  • simply beautiful...great voice.

  • She quite simply had no equal.

  • Karen did a good impression of Peter Noone, with her dropped r's. LOL! She and Richard hit #12 in Billboard, 4-24-76. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Karen.

  • The only sound that you will hear, is when i whisper in your ear i love you

    Karen Carpenter ~♪ :D

  • when i was in school, instead of bell ring there was this song ... when we heard it was time to go home

  • Great voice. Too bad she is dead long before her time. All caused by an eating disorder

  • This song is so beautiful and the Karen voice is very sweet.

  • makes me remember of old school days ^^

  • Applause from Brazil!

  • 5 people had ear surgery and can not hear their soul mate whispering in their ear "I love you forever and ever"

  • So beautiful! For me, the best version...

  • I prefer Herman Hermits original version. They managed to make this song sound like all their music. I think Carpenter had a nice voice yeah, but all their music sound like rainy days and Monday even the cover songs

  • 4 people cannot hear the sound of lovers in love

  • "So listen very carefully, get closer now and you will see what I mean, Karen Carpenter sings like a dream..."
