Sometimes it takes 10 years since HIV grows to AIDS. It depends from your imunity sistem, and because of that you HAVE TO get the right diagnosis, and you have to start to make stronger your imunity sistem. I`m very sorry because he died, but I want to know if anyone knows have he taken the medicals since he was alive? If I have an Aids,I wouldn`t take the medication, because I think that you can live so much longer without it,but that`s just my opinion...

I understand ....finding out you are positive and bringing that as well as being gay to your parents attention.. Been there, done that...was in the hospital on my death bed before I ever told my parents. As my mother said to me, 'it is hard to fool a mother.'.' Clint you are very handsome and wouldn't ever think that you are positive. Anyway, England is much more liberal than the U.S..wish that I lived in England, Germany or somewhere in Europe over the U.S.
@Jessietomodachi An allergy? Are you serious? People still die from HIV all the time. You just dont hear about it. HIV is still a fatal disease which you can still die from if its not diagnosed early enough. Sometimes people fall ill and die quite quickly. The medication is just that, medication. Its not a cure.
@4165mc the same way they wont never tell you of those are dieing from eating fast food or smoking cigarets. When was the last time you heard about someone dieing caused by drugs and alcohol, unless if is someone wealthy. Did you know ignorance also kills? Oh yeah. The gov. knows about it, and will never tell anyone, cause an ignorant population is very easy to manipulate or kill.
I was diagnosed in 1992 and apart from PCP back in April which put me in hospital for 3 weeks I've been pretty lucky, healthwise. So it was quite a shock to learn how quickly this young man succumbed. But at least he got to do some good with his participation in this NHS video.Hopefully this is some comfort to his family.R.I.P young fella!
It makes me sad when I watch your story cause u were so young and u were a kind guy my friend caught HIV 3years ago from having sex with his bf and he is still alive a wish u were still alive today :'(
He s a good looking man and seems he was a great guy too. He could have made somebody really happy as a perfect partner. It s shame people in western world still get infected and die because of their own ignorance, despite the educational campaign has been on since 80-s.
You are a very brave person, thank you so much for opening your life in such a piblic way - it will surely bring hope to many other lives. I feel angry for whoever it was who infected you, I'm guessing from unprotected sex. If that person was older, they should have used protection with a 17 year old. God Bless you though, and thanks again.
he must have been 14/15 when he contracted it as it would have taken a couple of years for the infection to progress and get to a point where he was ill enough to be tested!
@silver760 lol you just need like 4 months for it to be detectable and now new ways of testing can may even detect it by the first days or hours because by the moment gets in contact with this virus antibodies are made, you dont even have to do blood tests you can just stick some saliva to a special detector (which looksl ike the diabetes one) and youll have result in 1 hour
There are some despicable people out there encouraging young people to be careless and take risks for their own gratification. Education on HIV can NEVER become lax amongst the young.
I'm so sad to hear that Clint passed away. I only hope he's in a better place.
thank you so much for sharing this video. This is pure art, to see someone like that share his story so openly, telling other young boys and girls to be aware of the disease and not to fear their sexual orientation. I wish this world had millions like Clint.
I am HIV+ also 20 years now, it's heartbreaking to know he DIED!!! With all the powerful medications he couldn't beat it. How sad. RIP Clint, thank you for sharing your life and battle.
You know, there may be a 17 year old boy watching this vid and having the very same problems that you had/ have. It's good to make people aware of AIDS, no matter how old they are or what their orientation is!
17? england, your chances were pretty low, but other than that, you don't deserve this.
your parants or family or whoever has no reason to feel upset about you. and no it is not a 'gay disease' not at all, imagine str8 people couldnt marry and were stigmatised all the time
hey clint god bless you and continue to be strong people need to know that this aids is real and every one is at risk i pray one day there be a cure because i have seen what this aids can do to people because my aunty had aids so clint take care of your self and keep your head high this is not the end of the world god bless you
hang in there, Clint! Your story is inspiring. A documentary was made using my partner as a focus. Check it out its called Positive Lives, by Jenn Ackerman. Hope to hear from you. Be well! We are working on an End the Stigma Campaign, targeted for rural areas.
Hey Clint. You're the man! You are extremely brave and your courageousness is inspiring. You look really healthy mate. Good on you for doing this video as you have more than likely already saved scores of lives. I think the most important thing is getting the message out to people, and you have done exactly that. God Bless

how come he died?
hiv used to be a disease that killed lots of ppl
but it became a disease that pretty much like "allegy" these days
because of the improvement in medicine... right?

@Jessietomodachi he may not have died from anything related to hiv or he may have died from the medications.
