Yes the Virtual Boy was from Nintendo, and was designed by the late Gunpei Yokoi, who also designed the original Game and Watch Gallery games, and the Original B/W GameBoy. The Virtual boy only lasted about 1 year in the US & Japan, and Gunpei soon got demoted to a Window Job(Meaningless task job in Japan) and soon left after wards, to work for Bandai, and develop the Bandai WonderSwan Handheld, but soon after that he died in a tragic car accident on a mountain road in Japan.
