Handling was definitly top notch on this car at the time. Plus the Bosch III ABS system and 300 ft/lbs. of torque = lots of fun!! I have an 86 and I don't care it only has 240 HP, the ladies love doing donuts in it.
i opened another tab with the music rock you like a hurricane. and watch this video in mute. nicely done. it's better with the original song you used.
i love all vets past and present and they all look great but there is just something captivating about 1991 to 1996 body style. not sure what it is. the body is so sleek and clean. from a rear view tho the C5 convertibles have the nicest ass with the top looking chopped from behind but the nose on the C5 is too round or something
you all would love my c4 then pissed of the old 350 and put in a stroked 400 Chev bored out so its now a 427 small block forged pistons 4340 crank roller cam makes power to 6500rpm and revs to 7000rpm N/A as well and its in Australia
I love the C4, except for the ZR1 engine, I'm not a big fan that GM required help from Lotus to design the heads. Besides, pushrod V8s have long proven their potential and reliability. That's why I love the new Corvettes, still a big displacement 2 valve pushrod V8. Not a Lamborghini designed V10, or an undersized blown overhead cam "modular" motor.
hey man seen one mean mother fckr white vette, shore it was zr1 down torqay vic had plates usa pwr was white that had balls man took off like a bullet fastest street car i ever seen
That white corvette with plates usapwr puts out 600 horse power at rear wheels friend of mine seen actual engine it has Nos set up and motor had a recent rebuilt goes hard I have seen This vette AT several car shows not bad at all
thats my favorite of all vettes.! I want a 96 collector edition lt4 manual transmission all black.. heh thats my dream :P hmm no my dream is a ZR1 C4 !!
no handling thats the stupidest shit ever said. In 88 no American car had ever handled that good before and car and driver and r/t etc. said it defied reality, the handling was amazing. also the looks every car in 1988 was a box with doors. so it looked just as good as it handled. true vette fans no what im saying.
Agreed with 88mpny but he must've been high on oxycontin when he tried to say what he said, haha. yeah the Vette was the only real sports handling car in 88 for sure.
@bronxboyXXX I know I have a copy of the 1984 motor trend with the new Vette on the cover. they say that the handling of the newly designed Vette defied reality up to that point and i can testify and agree. i am a proud owner of a 1988 Z52 Coupe all original with 54,000 miles. it's an amazing car and brings a huge smile to my face every time i drive it.
@88mpny I feel the same way. I have driven many cars and few give me everything like the vette. I'm not saying I wouldn't rather drive a Lamborghini (I would) but I also wouldn't want to have to maintain that bitch either & I for one don't like being broke down on the side of the road (which is exactly where I see most Italian exotics).
@88mpny Sorry, but the 1985 IROC was one of the best handling cars in the world when produced. Better check your Car and Driver and Road & Track again....
@GetsumJ Listen einstein, the IROC/Z28 and Formula/Trans Am's did handle amazingly no doubt. I know first hand I had a 1990 Formula 350 auto and I smoked mustangs constantly and the car handled superbly. but, and were talking a but bigger than yo moms.... the firebird/camaro did not handle as well as the Vette. The Vette is lighter and has a completely different designed and superior suspension. not to mention its lighter has taller wider tires and sports a better 50/50 weight ratio. you dumbass
@88mpny LOL, I love pre puberty replies. Look me up when you're older, and better educated on Corvettes and F-Bodies. Then we can talk kiddo. I was simply correcting your LIE about what Car and Driver and Road and Track said about the IROC son. Maybe the teenage girls will be impressed with your BS, but I was building when you were in diapers "-)
i think the C4's are some of the best american cars ever made. it was when corvette really started to get established in the 80's and 90's as world class in power AND in handling. also, they weren't really all that slow either, so you can compare those early 90's vettes to, say, a new 300hp mustang or something and im sure an LT1 vette could run with a car like that, i think its cool how something 15 years old would be nearly as modern as the cars today.
lol what a retard, he is acting like a corvette is just an expensive camaro. corvettes DO have a superb level of engineering and handle better than any other american car, and no its not only about the size of the engine, you dont think if GM wanted to that they could stick a 900hp motor in a vette? but they dont because it IS about more than horsepower, if you want to go fast in a straight line get a camaro, if you want all around performance, get a vette.
@greatrace53 This is so true I have a six speed 95 corvette and my father (rest his soul) had a 00 six speed TA that he would never let me drive. Anyway after he passed I have the opportunity & all I can say is it's no Vette. A Vette takes corners like a roller coaster & feels like a race car because it is; where as the TA handles like any other domestic. I almost killed myself driving the TA because I forgot and dove into a circular off-ramp thinking it was like my Vette, NOT!!!!!
there is always a fucking asshole saying things like that, this boy is only a magazine reader; a fucking highschooler that dreams with european cars; he doesn`t even has a skate board.

redneck car ... nothing compared to any European car: M5, M6, Porsche, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Bugatti Veyron ... and by the way, it is not only about the size of the enginge. Not at all!! Handling, comfort, design, cultivated engine, technology, level of engineering. ,.. it is not only about top speed, but acceleration, handling (again). Where can you drive fast in the US, anyway??
well how much more are all those cars than a vette? Its like comparing a cadillac to a yugo. Oh and you probably will never own any of those, at least the vette is attanable to a portion of the worlds population
I do not see very many Corvettes driving around my town full of hicks and I could even dare to say all of my state. Rednecks take pride in their jacked up late 80's broncos and various pickup trucks. Corvettes burn their eyes. A Corvette at the very least is a middle class income car. Most have nice handling and a respectable engine.
i have 2 corvette, my first one (a 1994 c4) and an 2006 zo6 corvette, i like the speed of the zo6 but the 94 is still my favorite corvette, i like it more then the zo6, i like the digital spedometer in it compared to the analog one in the zo6 also.
Awesome. C4 is probably my favorite generation for Corvettes. Although most people like the calssic look of the C1 and C2s, the power of the C3s ('69), and the refinement of the C5 and C6 generations, I like the low, sleek, defined look and great performance of the C4s. Especially the ZR1 and the 1996 Grand Sport. Great vid!
Nice, the C4 was a very nice car for it's day. It had the best handling, acceleration, and overall performance of it's day. Does yours have an L98 engine? I believe it should. Post some and pics and/or a video if u can and send it.

@88mpny The 1984 Corvette
# Car and Driver called the new Corvette "the most advanced production car on the planet."
# Motor Trend described it as "the best-handling production car in the world, regardless of price."
