I think this game would have done better if they stuck to the usual art style rather than these weird outfits. The art was all done by the Deathnote artist and I really do hate how it looks on Castlevania characters.

There weren't even alternate outfits.

There are some good lines in the game if nothing else. Personally, I love what Trevor says when he beats Sypha. "I fought fair and won the day...if only the same could be said for life in our house."

This game's really just a cheesy fanservice game. If you don't take it seriously it's fun but that's about it. It's just neither a great Castlevania game or a great fighting game though.

I never played this game but i do own Soul Calibur 4 and i got to say this game is a big big rival to it.I personaly feel that SC4 could use the freedom of movement this game has.

I don't blame you for cheering Shanoa on. She's a really varied character in the game, and her voice acting - while maybe a bit bland - really fits Shanoa's personality (or lack thereof, since her emotions are gone during OoE).

- I mostly play as Sypha, but I still play as plenty of other characters. I also like playing as Maria (who plays like Mary Poppins on crack) and Grant.

- I played until I lost. The next battle that I played after the end of the vid was against Simon, and he royally raped me during that one. Simon and Trevor are very, very cheap.

- And yeah, sorry about the lack of Belmont. Like I said, Simon was right after Shanoa, but I edited it for length.

- And yes, I looooooove the ice move. XD

- The characters in Judgment are from different periods. I believe that Trevor is taken from AFTER he and Sypha married, whereas Sypha is from BEFORE the two married. And Grant is from AFTER Castlevania III, whereas Sypha is from BEFORE. I think.

I don't know what to think. Eric obviously has some form of tie(s) to Alucard, as I'm pretty sure that he was directly given the Alucard Spear by Alucard.

I doubt that there's any sort of direct link by blood, though. I mean, Loretta and Stella aren't vampires, and they're Eric's daughters. I doubt that this aspect of the storyline will ever be clarified, but I think that I'll remain patient on it.

Not at all, people have discussions like this all the time, and considering how rooted in popular fiction, folkore and history the series is, it's interesting (at least to me)

Hell a bit of vampire blood may have been the reason Brauner was able to turn the sisters...you notice that people don't tend to get turned into vampires in the series except in CVA

Very true. I don't think that PoR really went into as much detail about Loretta and Stella as much as it could've, though. I do feel that Igarashi purposefully teases fans with stuff like that, though. There are so many unanswered questions, and the series is a serious mess in terms of storyline.

I played this game a couple weeks ago without reading the reviews first and I was surprised it was rated so poorly. It isn't the greatest game I ever played but it was quite fun. I found it to be a nice challenge, I didn't think it was quite as easy as the video makes it look, but that could also be because I suck at games like this.

Fun though.

I'd say that it's balanced really poorly, but yeah, the game's still pretty fun. Simon and Trevor are cheap as Hell, and Shanoa can be pretty annoying, as well. I love the presentation during battles, but the menus are really, really poor in spots (namely during Castle Mode).
