This movie has its moments, great intro, good music (one of the better theme songs definitely), nice attempt to involve M more, even if she is kinda useless by the end, but yeah the Bond girls are no good (Denise Richards is woefully cast - wouldn't someone like Jeri Ryan have been a better fit?) and Robert Carlyle is wasted. After the initial boat chase, the action is pretty limp and unmemorable too. Still, "Die Another Day" falls on its face so much worse...

I always loved James Bond, probably my favorite movie franchise. Brosnan was the first Bond I grew up watching, but over the past few years I've grown to love Sean Connery Bond films over Brosnan.

There is one quote that just sticks out from this movie everytime I think of it. Electra King says to 007, "I could have given you the world." and Bond goes "The world is not enough." I know its the title of the movie, but I never understood what he meant by that.

Are people idiots. Have you guys looked at the numbers for the James Bond movies? Goldeneye in the US alone made 499,999,000 dollars roughly and Die Another Day made 650,000,000 <--- Brosnan's movies progressively made more and more money. Die Another Day was considered financially a HUGE success as were the other movies. The reason Casino Royale made 100,000,000 more was because they opened the market of the Bond movies to other countries which hadn't been done before. Do the math.

@The6thSimpson well to begin, being the sequel to Casino Royale (which to most, and I have never heard anyone say otherwise was fantastic) it had a large expectation being put towards it. The film felt limited, as in at the end you just did not have that sense of enjoyment as you did with Casino Royale. The titling on the screen telling the audience the geographical location was unnecessary. To my opinion it was not D Craig's fault, but a silly and too artistic take on the directors behalf.

I'll say this: TWINE was definitely a James Bond movie(unlike Die Another Day), and it was well directed. But despite having a pretty interesting story, there were quite a few major plot-holes in the script(M going into the field=retarded). Also, the dialogue was typical, and very poorly written, especially that of Denise Richards, whose casting was a mistake in the first place. The movie is pretty entertaining, but nowhere as good as the first two Brosnans, nor most of the classic films.

"Die Another Day" took it WAYYYY TOO FAR, and it was just stupid.

I remember watching "XXX" and really liked it, and later saw "XXX: State of the Union" and honestly, that movie wasn't as good as the first "XXX" movie (the "state of the union" movie was a 'decent movie [to kill time with] by watching it' type of movie). and Lee Tamahori (the director from "Die Another Day") directed that one also.
