  • Well said.

  • All your content is ALLWAYS GOOD!! ,,, I see your usuing a Mac now, is there a reason? Thanks, and Keep up the good Vids,,Jack

  • I use fireworks for art and webstie design myself x3

    I love it!

  • Yeah good point, what do you think about W3C Valisation service?

  • @ErcanWorld I never validate my sites. What I focus on is just making sure my site doesn't break across all Grade A browsers (meaning the top browsers that most people still use).

  • Ehh I dont think I agree with a lot of what you just said. The point of using certain programs and methods of coding is to allow ease of going back and making changes. If you slop some code together with inline styles and tabular layouts It makes it extremely hard to go back and edit. When I build a site I build it for the client and other possible developers in my team.

  • @Hollen949B You should check out the debate I had on my blog regarding this topic. Good stuff.

  • Tables tend to be bad for accessibility like screen readers, but at the end of the day it's how well it's made, however it's done that matters. You could use all div's and not a single table and still have it less reader friendly than someone elses site made entirely with tables, but done well.

  • @TalesOfWar Exactly!

  • The tables vs. Divs debate is the same as pc vs. Mac if you ask me. It seems like a personal preference but sometimes, cross-browser compatibility plays a role as to what elements are used. As long as it works, it's all good.

  • @njmithra

    "Hi, I'm a table."

    "An I'm a div".

  • great video thank you so much :)

  • Learning web design on a budget and it would have been a lot more confusing if it wasn't for this channel. The web is full of useful info but it's rare to have the process broken down and explained so effectively. Thanks and please keep the uploads coming.

  • Yet another great video Mike. I really appreciate your video blog, it has inspired me a great deal over the past year and a half. I am already looking forward to your next video.

  • Thanks everyone for all the comments.

  • Yeah, In reply to your statement about how many views a song has, As a hobby DJ that is definatly something that goes through my mind ( So it's more than just if I like it ) But yeah thumbs up agree with most of the stuff in this video!

  • @NoNumbersUsername As a DJ, I can totally see where views might make sense when you're viewing if something is hot or not. Totally get that. ;) But even still, if the video has one view and you like it, maybe you can break it open. :) You never know.

  • @mlwebco I am Defiantly the kind of person that is willing to do something like that, Would never judge a song on how many views it has, But depending on where and what sort of crowd I'm playing too, Those sort of things defiantly come into consideration.

  • Not taking anything away from your other videos (because they are awesome too) but this is hands-down your best video in terms of advice! Awesomenessness

  • @casperisdaman Thanks for that...glad you get what I'm saying in the video. ;)

  • Hey Mike,

Thanks again for looking at my site!

  • @Conceptskatemedia Anytime!

  • You look high.

  • @bambizzoozled Just very late and tired ;)

  • Really great advice Mike.

  • @gladeemarie You're welcome, thanks for the positive feedback.

  • Great video, and I think you made really good points, I never thought about it this way, but your right, there is no chance a client would ever view source or anything along those lines..

  • Great ideas and insight as always, ty :)

  • I love your videos, been following since 2010. Your videos are really helpful and great Thanks Again ;)

  • Great video and advice Mike :)

  • Great point! In web design and life in general. Do the things that make you happy and do it they way you like. Couldn't help but smile, when i saw the video. I was af Flash programmer first and can make pretty much anything in Flash. For about 1 year ago i started learning html/css and php. I still love Flash, but i can't keep working as af freelancer if i can't create web sites in html. I leanrned a lot from you, so... Thanks! And keep up the good work! :-)

  • @RealChrisRathje Don't get me wrong, I wish I knew flash....I love flash. I just was never that smart, so I stuck to the simple sites. :) Thanks for the props.

  • Great Video
