Hmm, you shot the T-72 at the end of the video but it didn't fire back or even look at you.

I've never been in a tank so I wouldn't know if the crew could hear small arms fire hitting the tank's body, but even so....

I believe the player is on the civilian side.

The civilian side is ignored by the military factions. Even if you kill several of their men, they still won't attack you.

Recruit

Regular

Veteran

Expert

ChristianCohn is most likely playing on the default (Regular).

If you switch to Veteran or even Expert, HUDs map indicators, crosshairs, 3rd person, etc. will be disabled.

the makers said that since on a computer screen you can't 'feel' the distance to things like in real life, 3rd person compensates for that by showing your whole body's position, because in real life you'd have 100% awareness of wehre your body is relative to other things.

When the game is released in the rest of the world, BIS will release a patch that make them all the same.

Sounds like Fraps only recorded two channels of his multi-channel sound. So when the tanks were at 9 and 3 oclock, you can hear them.

Nah, I wouldn't really boycutt BIS. I'm just pissed that they choose their publishers the way they do, and let them release when they feel like.

The reason it's bugged is because the german publisher wanted to beat 505 Games to it, and get more money, so BIS never had a chance to deliver the patched version. That's also why they could deliver a patch so fast.

Also, they treat the germans as gods. Look at the forums: Closed to let the germans download patches faster -.-

I'm actually considering boycutting Bohemia for releasing the game in germany a month before the rest of the world. It's fucking annoying that the game is out, and there's no way you can get it (Unless you want a german version >.>)

Anyway, I downloaded the german patch, and cracked it to install even though I don't have the game. So I got the ArmA2.exe, and extracted all icons from it, so now I have a bunch of cool ArmA2 icons xD

It's a good thing for most people. I now know that I'm definately buying the game on release day because of all the gameplay videos by fans. And even more importantly, I will get the game already patched several times.

Yes not everywhere in stores.... it comes to rest Europe around 19th June and End of June to USA.

But when you have Paypal or any other Credit Cards you can buy it over german Distributer "Petergames" Download Version!

Hi, since 1.01 Patch the game got much better already.... big Perfromance Increase and AI now finally works like it should.

Wonderfull video. I've never really liked the sounds in OFP / ARMA though, and this video is much the same. The vehicles all sound like turbo-charged vacuum cleaners in mid-takeoff... It's really strange.

Hi, i answered this now probably already 2 times in my other Arma2 Videos - I got a Q6600 running currently @ 3.2GHZ (i had it at 3.4 but energy consumption is not justifying 0FPS Perfromance gain :p), 4GB DDR2-1066 Ram and a old GF 9600GT (for now). I plan to buy a ATI HD 4890 1GB next week, cause according to some test by game magazines, Arma2 runs best with ATI!

Did you really disable the tracks by shooting at them? The "lagging tracks" phenomenon means its disabled?
