The reason the animations look so weird is because he's trying to use only 4 frame walking animations, which DO NOT work for sprites that size. There's a simple script to fix that, but is anyone going to bother working with it? No, because it's alot of work, and no one wants to actually work to make something good.

I finnaly won the game and got one of the secret endings.

but how im supposed to do the ones where i fight Robo+Lucca vs lavos , or Chrono+Marle vs lavos.

i has them all above lv 65 yet lavos meteor keeps killing my healers.

the difficult is way too high imo O.o , when u get frog chrono fight vs the first boss at the cavern the boss itself has a skill than one shots one of you chars with 1k dmg.

and when robo and luca fights the 4 bluerobots their lightning does 400 and the double hit 150 each. they barely can survive more than 2-3 attacks.

not sure if this project is still going on or not but i would be careful about advertising if i were you. a group of people tried a remake of this a year or so ago and square threatened to sue them so they had to delete all there shit :(

Until you put in the key puzzle! Argh! Found 2 of them, (I'm not revealing where that would spoil the challenge though.) can't find the last.

Awesome game though, especially since you had to retool the game to work on another engine.

Great work! I loved the old SNES-games, especially Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger. I don't know why, but this games of the early and mid 1990s had an incredible charme, which many games of today don't have. At my opinion the designers gave more love and detail in their work, without having the graphical possibilities of today (think of the different endings of CT!)

Second:

Where did you get the music? The sound seems to me much clearer and better (orchestral suite?).

Ah, ok. I knew about the two medleys here on youtube, but neither the one, nor the other seemed to be identical with your version. One of the concerts (Symphonic Fantasies) impressed me so much, that after the ending of the second part I decided to play CT... after more than a decade!

'Cause rom hacks tend to get C&D'ed more quickly then fangames in an independent engine.

TF also binds you to the limits of CT's engine, while using Rm2k3 you can exceed those.

Well, it's a choice between actually finishing a project, or getting shut down right before release. I would actually much rather use TF, but the fact that I would be shut down is enough for me to move to Rm2k3.
